So, I'm searching for some dates in October at any of the 3 on-site resorts. Can someone tell me how to find a AAA rate on the website? I've tried changing a tab to "Promotion" and "Group" and then typing aaa in the next window. No matter what dates I put in (june, july, aug...oct) it always says no rooms available???

Also, do super-saver rates still exist? If so, how can I access those???

Thanks for helping me!

You can't. You either have to call reservations or AAA or use the AAA bookings website.

For all other Loews hotels that are not at Universal Studios, you can find the AAA rate on the Loews website (unfortunately that doesn't help you but explains why it is on there).

Supersaver rates are now called Stay More Save More and will come up automatically if they are available.

Just by chance I was on the regular Loews website earlier today. I selected the hotel (I tried both PR and Porto) and there was a drop down to select AAA rate. It worked me!

When your rate came up did it say seasonal rate or did it say AAA Leisure Package?

Like Damo said, it does give you a AAA option , but does not give you AAA rates.
Like Damo said its seasonal rates or other offers thats on

OH, I didn't notice the mention of seasonal rate on the quote...I guess I was just happy that the rate was definitely less than I had seen on other sites for a one night's stay.
What is seasonal rate? Is it similar to how WDW has lowest prices mid-August through Sept? Putting these same dates into other websites, possibly even the UniversalOrlando (I"ve tried so many I've lost track!) , didn't get rates that low for a one night stay. Does only the Loewe's site give the seasonal rate?

Thanks!

The Loewshotels website and the UniversalOrlando website will give you the same rates. They are linked to the same database.

Seasonal rate is rack rate which changes in high season, low season, etc.

Rates change all the time. You need to keep checking.

Thanks for the tip.....did you mean that for the same dates, quoted off of the same website, the rate can go up and down quite often, depending on when you check?

Yes. Rates change a lot. Once you have booked, if you see a lower price, just call them and have them change your rate.

This is going to sound like a stupid question, but I am at a loss as to where to begin my search for a room rate that will coax my hubbie into staying on property for a few nights so I can get my HP fix. We have always stayed off-site for Disney and Universal but visit both sets of parks on our trips. I am trying to save up the extra cash to stay at a Universal site on a VERY tight budget. I have AAA. What other places do you try for a deal on resorts than the Loew's website and the AAA site? Is there a place to get better deals on tickets for the parks than the Universal site? I appreciate any help that you experts can give me!!

We looked at AAA rates and none of them were better than the Stay More Save More rate. We are going Oct 1-Oct 8 and got 7 nights for $134 a night at the Hard Rock Hotel.

No, there are no other places. You can call them and see if they have any obstructed views or any other deals.

i am so jealous.
you have 3 more cats than i do............

i always find that i get the best rate by calling uo resorts directly.
they will work with you for the best deal.
really.

i have the aaa and the aph but booked with aaa due to it being $20 cheaper per night for my dates.

there are some obstructed views as damo mentioned.
if you request one, you do get a discount.

i requested one 3 years ago and paid $150 per night for it in regular season.

if all you can swing is one night onsite, go for it.
stay offsite for the rest of the trip.

your hotel key cards will be valid for using the express lines on the day you check into the hotel and the day you check out.

avoid the weekends for cheaper rates.
