? about February 27- March 3

We were there during this time in 2004. It was cold the first few days (jeans & sweatshirts), then warmed up nicely (shorts & tee-shirts). We were there for Cheering Nationals, so don't know if that is going on during the time or not.

The lines weren't to bad. Use fast-passes when available.

I'd go back during this time, but my kids are now to old to pull out of school for any length of time.

This is the same week New Orlenaians and the surrounding areas go to WDW to escape the Mardi Gras crowds. Hope this helps. We will be there that week, also. Usually the crouds are not that bad. :dancer:

We've been there that week several times and not found it to be too crowded. Mardi Gras adds a few people but I wonder if the effect will be the same this year?
Pleasure Island and French Quarter tend to have special events for Mardi Gras.

They are listed to be a 5 to 7 of 10. Should be manageable. I'll be there.

I went last year 3/5-3/12... Crowds were the most manageable I have ever seen (I'm used to going in the summer!) Lines weren't longer than 10-20 minutes. The weather is tricky... I got away with wearing capris and t shirts for most of the trip. DH wore shorts sometimes. I always needed a sweatshirt in the early morning and at night. Sometimes I changed into jeans at night. And it only rained one day! I thought it was a great time of year to visit. Have fun!

From what I know, and have heard, people that were planning on Disney before the hurricanae, are still planning on going. You might even see some last minute decisions, as people are just plain worn out, and could use a vacation about now..

it was crowded last year, but nothing like summertime or thanksgiving.

Its just before most states have their Spring Break. The calm before the storm so to speak. We'll be there at that time. Before booking, I presumed it would be very quiet, but now it seems like there will be more people there than I hoped for. In '04 we went in early Feb and Orlando was a ghost town at times. US and IoA were deserted. Hulk was a walk on.

I am not expecting to wait more than 30 minutes for any ride excluding Soarin'. Really hoping I can get on EE for a soft opening. Otherwise, I'll be leaving AK just after mid-day.
