We're going to see Fantasmic this Wednesday evening. My question is this - We had planned to do the Dinner Package deal at Hollywood and Vine, but I've been hearing that they've got hot dog vendors in the "arena." With two small children, I wasn't looking forward to waiting in a long line. But at this time of year, is it feasible to show up an hour to an hour and a half early and just eat a hot dog in the show area? Can you get in and sit down that early? My concern before was waiting in a long line, but if we can actually be sitting down inside and eating a hot dog, I don't see the point in doing the dinner package. What's your thoughts?

I don't think the package iss worth it at the prices they are now asking. We almost did it, but instead arrived only an hour early and got great seats! (off season) I don't think it will be crowded enough now to justify spending the $ on a package. We did get pretty bored sitting there, take some bubbles or something for the kids to do. We snacked on popcorn in a sov. bucket which my DD loves to get.

At this time of year, I would suggest a blanket before bubbles.

And would definately opt for the hot dog!!

I had better seats, DS needed the break, I didn't have to "make him sit still" in a restaurant (not that he isn't used to, we eat out a lot, but is is Disney and Fantasmic, he's excited). We purchased some glow in the dark, spinner toys, hot dogs, popcorn, drinks, and had a great time!!

And do bring the blanket, and don't sit tooo close to the front, unless you want to get wet and sprayed. The mist does get you.

We were there MLK weekend. On Sunday we went to see Fantasmic. We went to make reservations for the dinner deal and were told that they hadn't been filling up and she didn't think it was necessary. We could get there 1/2 an hour before and still get a good seat. So we just made regular ressies at H&V.

At H&V we were given the fantasmic ticket. We told them we weren't doing the dinner deal and our waiter (I can't remember his name but he was great) said he though it might be crowded that night because of the holiday. There was no extra charge
for the dinner - the only difference was a 15% gratuity was already added into the bill.

When we arrived 1/2 hour before show there were lots of seats available on the left side of the theater.
