Hi all! Just got around to reading the Sunday Tribune today and in the travel section Disney has an ad for some great resort only rates from 10/31-12/25, excluding Veteran's weekend and a few days around Thanksgiving. We are considering going during this time frame in 05. Does anyone know if this is common practice for this time of year or is this something unusual? They have values from 55$, moderates from 85$, and deluxe from164$!!!! I know this was probably planned way before the hurricane problems, but I wonder if people re-scheduling their cancelled trips will limit the number of rooms at these rates for this year. Anyone out there get rates this good, or better, at this time of year in the past?

If these are the same rates that came out with the codes on Aug 26th-there are alot of resorts already sold out. We were lucky-got a deluxe room and a moderate room with the discount codes.

Call and see what is available but like mom_rules said, they have many of the rooms booked.

I think she is asking about 2005............yes 2004 is just about booked up, but start reading these boards the middle of next summer, the codes for that time of year for this year came out Aug.25th so you will want to keep an eye out around that time next year. This board and mousesavers is usually pretty close to telling you when the codes will be available., then be prepared to call early and keep trying and waiting.......The rates will most likely be very close to what you are seeing now. The trick is not to wait until it comes out in the paper you want to call the first day or so of when the codes are announced. Some resorts are easier to come by than others. You may also want to order a resort planner or video and register on the Disney sites, sometimes those people get offers before the codes are released. This year there were many email postcards sent to people with great rates for the Fall......Good luck and happy planning you will get lots of great info from all the people here!

I think it depends on the resort. The past two years I booked my SSW (early November) trips in October and all the Moderate resorts were sold out due to the fall rates. I wound up staying at Old Key West, it was one of the only resorts available. Definitely an amazing resort to stay at but a bit costly.

I booked this year's SSW trip last week and got the Animal Kingdom Lodge on fall rates. So it depends on timing and the resort you are looking to stay at.

Hope this helps.
