? about fake Christmas trees

We have always had a real tree. And we will always have at least one real tree each year... I usually put 2 real trees up....But it is such work and all happens at the same time....I thought it might be nice to put a fake tree in the dinniner room, this is where I always put the second tree. I need some thing rather narrow which is at times hard to find in a real tree...
So when measuring for a fake tree, if the box says, 71/2 foot tree is that the true height? The stand and all? I think our ceilings are 71/2 so Was thinking about getting a 7 foot tree.....but I wasn't sure.

7 1/2 feet is a very low ceiling-are you sure they are that low? I would measure the ceiling. If they are that low, I would get a 6 foot tree. You can always put it up on some blocks if you want it higher but a 6 foot tree would give you room for a topper of whatever kind. The trees in their stands are pretty close to what they say on the box.

yep we have low ceilings...it is an older house.
I havent' seen any fake trees that are only 6 feet and if they are they are in these weird pots.....

Keep looking-they are all over the place. We got one last year and didn't have any problems finding them. Check all the marts-KMart, Walmart, Target, etc. They are out there.

Home Depot and Lowes has a large variety of trees and sizes. We were looking last week and I know I saw 6 1/2 foot trees.

QVC had a nice tree on today that was $120 that was 61/2 feet (plus 6 easy payments LOL.) Don't forget you have to put something at the top of the tree and won't want that touching the ceiling. You can check it out on line.

I would think 6 foot trees are reasy to find.

Just be careful to include how big the Tree Top you are going to use is!
