? about educational discount for APPLE

WHen I logged in to purchase an ipod on the educational discount site, I was not given a discount price. I tried to call Apple but they are not open yet. Does the site not give you the discount right away? Is it 10% off the original price?

It all depends on what you are buying. My BIL works for an Apple store and told me that the educational discount got changed recently.

Previously I was able to buy Ipods and other serialized products (basically anything with a serial number) with my education discount.

Now Apple only allows Apple computers and computer accessories with the educational discount.

BUMMER... That's what I was looking for an IPOD.

Educational discount does not apply to Ipods anymore. I was able to buy two before they changed the rules.

Apparently when the Ipod price dropped over the summer, they did away with this discount.
