If someone bids only once on an item, and it's for the start price, why would it show up as amout of bids is 2? I have an item for auction and one person bid the starting price, but the bid count is 2 for the same amout of money by the same person.

P.S.
I hope that makes sense!

Hi,
What they are doing is raising their maximum bid of what they are willing to pay for the item. They are basically bidding against themselves so the price doesn't raise. For example, the first bid he put in might have been your opening bid, then the bidder might have really wanted the item and bid again, upping the maximum he's willing to pay. Bidders might do this so they don't have to watch an auction or they might not be home when the auction ends.
Hope that helps.

Oh, I see. Thank you! I thought something might have been wrong with the auction.
