? about Easter dates

Does anyone know if Easter week is usually blacked/blocked out of disney rates and codes?

Have you stayed during Easter before and been able to book a special rate?

The prices for Easter week are sooo high. I have always gone during Feb. before and been able to get some kind of special discount rate but have to go during Easter 2012. Having sticker shock at the rack room rates for 2011 that I looked at .

Do have a back up plan of Dolphin ressie at AAA rate of $199 per night, probably be hard to beat that at BWI or BC I would guess.

Unless you get a special email/snail mail pin code or book with a discount that happens to "bleed" into Easter Week, you are probably out of luck - Easter Week is usually blacked out. The resorts are full so there isn't really any incentive for Disney to offer discounts for that time frame.

True. Last year they did have some ap dates that you could book during Easter week, but they might not do that again this year, let alone next year.

Thank you. That was what I suspected. I think my $199 Dolphin will be about the best I can do for that location.

I did get an AP rate for last Easter. My fingers are crossed for this Easter. I also have off site reservation as a backup.

We are also looking at the week right after Easter SUnday. When I search online there seems to be availability everywhere at WDW for those dates. But any discounts I have found end the week before or start the weekend after. I may go the offsite route as well.
