I have a friend thinking about booking a WDW vacation and I'm trying to write her an email about the benefits of using DU. However, this is my first time booking, and all I've had to do thus far is book my room. I need to know just what happens in regards to the DU making ADRs. For instance, I think my window for booking is arriving in about 3 weeks. I haven't received any emails telling me when my allowable first day of booking is or giving me information on how to go about doing so. So should I warn my friend that while DU will make ADR's, it's not something they really promote? That she can rely on them to do it, but it's up to her to figure out when her booking date is and seek out her TA? I just don't want to give her misleading info and then have her irritated with me if I'm wrong or put her TA into a tough spot my mispromoting the extent of their services. I'd ask my TA but I'm pretty sure she's on vacation right now.

Thanks for the help!

All DU agents will gladly book your ADRs for you. This is one perk to booking with them. :thumbsup2

I suggest if you have any that you may want booked, that you email your agent to let her know. If you have 3 weeks until they can be booked, she may be planning to touch base on that issue with you when the booking date gets closer.

However if there are important ADRs that you want to be sure she knows about, I would just email her. She will get your email when she returns.

I am using DU on our trip planned for late November. Our agent didn't tell me at the exact 180 day mark to make our ADR's, but soon after that point she e-mailed me asking if there were any ADR's that I needed her to make.

Me, being the obsessive planner that I am, had already made the important ones, but e-mailed her the rest and she was able to get everything I wanted close to the times needed. She has also been very helpful when I needed some of those ADR's changed, including ones that I had made.

I've loved the convenience of just dropping my agent an e-mail for anything to do with this trip. She has booked our MVMCP tix, Segway tour, etc. I will definitely use them again.
