I have a brochure on the DCL and in it is a picture of a theater. It looks like a stage and there is a live show going on like a mini broadway show? Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this? Is it free or do i need tickets? Is it a differant show every night? What time is the show?
we will be on the 3 night wonder cruise in December

Thank you all so much these boards have been so much help. I cant get enough of them.. LOL:Pinkbounc :bounce: :jester: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Yes, these are mini-Broadway style shows, with a Disney theme. They are included in your cruise price...you do not have to pay extra. And they are definitely worth seeing. The shows are different each night, and all are good. There are two performances each evening. You go to one based on your assigned dining time. If you have early seating dining, you will go to the second show, which I believe is around 8:45 p.m. If you have late seating dining, you will go to the first performance, which is somewhere around 6 or 6:30 p.m. Can't remember the exact times.

Enjoy!

The live shows are performed in the Walt Disney Theatre which is on deck 4 forward.

There is another theatre called the Buena Vista Theatre that shows several movies with convenient hours. It is also free and is on deck 5 midship.

Actually, all of the entertainment onboard the ship is free.

in that picture there are NO CHILDREN to be found anywhere? This is not the case outside the brochure! There are plenty of kids enjoying the shows!
Just wondered if I was the only one to notice this?

Lisa:)

thank you everyone for your replies..

Drinks that they sell in the theaters are extra... :D

Shows include

Hercules, the Musical ... based on the hit movie Hercules.

Who Wants To Be A Mousekeeter ... based on the ABC game show.

Disney Dreams ... Peter Pan wants Wendy to fly by the end of the night ... and in the process dream about Cinderella, Simba, Ariel, Beauty, Aladdin and others

Above plays on all cruises

And below are also on the 7 night

Welcome Aboard Variety Show - Disney Characters along with two acts (usually comedians, jugglers, magicians)

Morty, the Magician - a show based on magic

Farewell Variety Show - same as Welcome Aboard with a couple more acts along with the characters saying goodbye.

The movie theatre also has a stage show

Island Magic - Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto go to prepare Castaway Cay for its guest, but Captain Hook wants to stop them. They have to get the island ready before Captain Mickey and the ship gets there.

A clarification about "Island Magic"... this show is definitely geared toward the kids, not the grown-ups. That's perhaps part of the reason it is only during the day and is not one of the evening shows. But if you have kids, be sure to take them to this show!
