? about DING! fare availability

I have already booked our hotel and so I have specific dates that I'm looking at for flying to Disney. I haven't booked our flight yet in hopes that I'll get a DING! for my city (RDU). However I have noticed that recently the cheapest fare currently offered (Internet One-way) is now unavailable for the flight I wanted to take. My question is, if I do happen to get a DING! for my city, will the Ding! fare be available on a flight where the current cheapest fare is already unavailable?

I just don't want to be waiting for a DING! to be offered only to find that it won't be available for that flight anyway.

Boy, I think half our area is waiting & watching DING!

I have gotten ding offerings for flights with internet specials but don't remember any being available when the internet special was sold out.

I just did a quick check on the MCO offerings for today and noted the DING fares were not available for flights where the internet special was sold out. I used the dates I'm looking for to do the test and checked all markets.

Of course, last summer I was trying to change my flight date and the internet special wasn't available for my date. It reappeared several days later. (I ended up with a DING fare anyway so it didn't matter.) With Southwest everything is always in flux. With SW's liberal change policy people are always adjusting their flights.

You could go ahead and book your flights so that you will have them. Then if you get a ding you could re-book at those prices and get a SW credit. That way you won't be out of a flight completely.
