I've practically memorized the menus. I also know that if a child's menu is offered, you must order from it. But one thing I'm noticing is that many counter service restaurants offer Jell-o as the only dessert choice for kids. ONLY ONE CHOICE? My 4-year old HATES Jell-O. Will they substitute other desserts offered???

Generally, there are now two choices: Sugar-free Jell-o and applesauce. They generally won't substitute an adult dessert. (I observed a rather rude guest yelling at the manager at Cosmic Ray's about this last month; the manager didn't cave-in despite the yelling.)

Figure you're paying $10.99 per day for the child meal plan, so it's already an incredible deal, even without any dessert.

With so many desserts to go around, it should be easy to share (and have room for snacks later:goodvibes )

Absolutely! From what I've seen in the picture threads, a lot of the desserts look really BIG! And we do not eat dessert every day - let alone every meal. I'm sure we'll do just fine sharing. I was just wondering if the menus I've seen were correct and jell-o is really the only choice for kids.

Thanks!

They should skip the dessert & offer more main course choices, especially since they include snacks which are mostly sweet treats.

I agree with adding more choices. My kids don't go for the usual "kid-friendly" options, hate mac and cheese and won't even look at a burger. Quite frankly, I'm not that thrilled with the nutritional value of eating chicken fingers, fries and pizza every day which is what it's going to be. I wish there were more healthy options for the kids because that's what mine are used to, not dessert at every meal.

In Oct sugar-free jello was it. I have since heard that you can get applesauce OR jello.

We just got back 3/24 and my son was able to substitute at all the places we went to. It was no big deal. We just said he didn't eat Jello. I would just ask, it can't hurt.
