? about codes

I posted this in another thread but it wasn't answered so I thought I would try creating my own thread. We have started planning another trip for this coming November and have read that last year a code came out in August for check-ins for November. This is only my 2nd trip to WDW and have not heard of any kind of discount before I found this site last week.

I have a few questions.

When the codes that came out last year for November, were thay are only good if you booked through Disney or were they also good if you booked through a TA?

I think I read some where on this thread that the discount was 15%. Was the discount for a room only or was it for a package? If it was for a package, was the dining plan discounted?

Was the discount only available for certain resorts or were all the Disney resorts included?

And finally, if you already booked were you able to apply the discount when it came out? I'm looking to book by the end of the week for 11/24 - 11/30, but could really use the discount.

There may indeed be a code issued sometime in August, according to the historical information found on Mousesavers.com. A lot of us are crossing our fingers!!

I dont know any particulars of when the codes came out or what the rack rate was vs. discount.

BUT, i can tell you that we stayed at POR for last Thanksgiving. We checked in on Monday Nov 19th and checked out Sunday Nov 25th.

For 6 nights with the AP Rate, it was $702.00. (Trust me, i know the price..lol)

However, we had to check in monday to get the AP rate for the whole week. I want to say that if we checked in on Tues or Weds we would have not been able to get the AP rate.

I think the AP rate came out sometime late in the summer.

Im not sure if there were only AP discounts. I would think general public codes were available, but to what extent, im not sure.

Package discounts for last November were released in August and again in October. Room only codes for November for the general public were released September 28. Here is the info from Mousesavers:

When I went in November of 2005 and code was released towards the end of September for the general public. I remember is was a few days prior to the 45 day mark.

I have two more questions. I feel like I'm being a pain with all my questions.

I thought I read that these discounts are not available on suites. If this is true are the cabins at FW eligible for the discount?

Are the discounts only available for certain dates?
