When the character meal is a buffett, if part of your party is getting food will the characters come back? Or do we need to grab food and sit down and not get back up?

Many of the locations "time" your seating so that your party has time to get situated and go for a trip to the buffet before the characters come by.

Sometimes its up to the guests to look around and see where a character "is" as he makes his rounds of the tables, so they will know if they should stay at the table a bit longer before going to the buffet.

And yes, many times if you are not too speedy to leave, a character (or all of them) will come BACK by to see if anyone would like some more "attention" at your table.

The system has been perfected over the many years this has been going on.

My DW and I have been attending the various character breakfasts since the only TWO they had were "Minnie's Menehune" at 'Ohana (Poly) and Chef Mickey's (back when that restaurant was located at Downtown Disney.)

As Robo said - Just watch for where the characters are - you'll know when they are about to come to your table. That way you can all plan to stay put until they arrive. They will not skip you.

If you miss any the characters, rest well, they will be back, doing their frequent loops. Most often, during a one hour or so meal, the characters will be by your table 3 or 4 times. Enjoy.
