? about cancelling a reservation

Due to a medical issue, I may need to cancel a reservation that I have at AKV in July. The points were borrowed from my Oct 2008 use year, so I would have to use them by Sept 30 2008 which won't help us at all.

What are my other options? I don't think I am comfortable renting the reservation over the web, and don't know anyone personally that would be interested.

Is there enough time to make a trade to II or can I deposit the points into II until I know when I can travel? Is there ever a one time exception made by member services to get around the borrowed points rule? I tried to call MS this morning but did not get much info from the operator I was speaking with.

How long have you been a member? Have you ever used the one-time exception? If not, call member services and ask to speak to a supervisor to see if there's anyway they will return the points to their original use year.

I have been a member since 2001. I never cancelled anything before. I will try to speak with a supervisor. Thanks for the info.
