? About California Rolls at CA Grill

Does anyone know if CA Grill uses real or imitation crab in their CA rolls? And is it ok to get this as an entree or will I look too cheap?!?!

I don't eat a lot at one sitting and I really want to get dessert there, so I need to keep my main meal somewhat small!! Thanks!

I've gone to the California Grill and ordered only tea and a flatbread, so if you're cheap ordering just the sushi and dessert, what does that make me? Seriously though, I felt a little funny ordering just a flatbread, but I was not feeling all that well and I have a little stomach to begin with. I'm one of those people who only eats little amounts of food at a time, but eats every so many hours.

Personally I think you'll be fine. You can only eat what you can eat, right?

Go ahead and order what you want. I've ordered only an appetizer before, along with drinks and no one has ever batted an eyelash.

DH will ocassionally order two apps instead of an entree. Most times his starters, plus dessert and drinks run far more than an entree.

They use real crab, not exactly remembering what kind. And it is ok to get that as an entree. Don't worry..nothing at California Grill is cheap...

The sushi portions here are very generous. I always get sushi as my entree and then have a dessert. It's more than enough food for me.

It's perfectly fine to just order sushi at CA Grill, I've done a few times myself. I have not had the California Roll there, but according to the menu it's real crab...

All the sushi I've had there is terrific, but my all time favorite sushi is:
Spicy Sensation - Scallops, Tuna, Avocado, Tobiko, and Fireball Sauce

I really don't think they would serve imitation crab at a place like CG.

The California Roll is to die for Huge portion and very, very good. It's real crab meat. Enjoy your stay! Also you can see all the meals before you order since the kitchen is "open" to the dining room. The first time we dined there we walked up to the counters that surround the kitchen and one of the chefs came over and happily explained all the main course that were sitting to be picked up and this gave us a better idea of the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant.
