Ok, Here goes,
My fiance and I will be going to DW in September for our Honeymoon. Hopefully someone out there can help answer a couple of questions.

1) Has anyone heard of any discounts on the Garden Suites? Either for AP, AAA or Disney Visa

2) Has anyone stayed in the Garden Suites?

3) What is the concierge service like at BWI ???? Do they have advanced planning assistance, seperate check in, etc...

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes, I have gotten quotes for the Garden Suites using the AP rates. I don't know how often this happens though. The concierge at the BWI is awesome, but it's a little hike (a fun and beautiful hike) to the lounge from the garden suites. When we stayed there was not a seperate checkin, we went to the lobby. They do have advanced planning for meals, etc. I love it there. :wave2:

The BWI concierge is my favorite place to stay. The cast of the Innkeeper's club is wasome and will far exceed your expectations. The planning cast, shared by the YC and BC, are great and were always able to get me all of my PS and even a last minute Illuminations cruise. My son and his wife honeymooned there and when they returned 2 years later with their infant daughter Jackie remembered them! The cast is my reason for returning every year.

I read on here a while ago that the BWI now has concierge check-in in the lounge. Has anyone stay recently and can confirm?

The concierge service is wonderful and we think the resort is the best at WDW. The Garden Suites are very romantic and have a view of the quiet pool. Some have balconies. The downside for us is that you have walk outside to get to them and they're a ways from the concierge lounge, which is why we stay in a Deluxe Concierge room. I have heard of people getting AP discounts on them, but the discounts sell out fast, as there are so few garden suites.

The itinerary planning staff is fantastic. They stay in constant communication with you as they plan and try to fulfill every request you may have. The staff in the lounge is fabulous as well.

Yes, check-in is now done at the desk on the 4th floor. It is just before you enter the hallyway for the rooms.

Just an FYI - I was trying to get an AP rate for the garden suites this past December. The first time I tried, the CM said yes, there is an AP rate available. I thought "great!" She went on to give me the total and it was rack rate. I said "that's rack rate" and she said "No, it's an AP rate - it says so here on my screen." So I asked her to look up rack rate and it was the same price. She talked to a manager and came back on the line to tell me it was a mistake in their system and they were going to fix it. I called several times over the course of many weeks and every time, I was told there was an AP rate available - and it was always rack rate!

BTW, we did stay there in December and we were a little disappointed. While the suite was spacious and relatively private, ours was not in the best shape/ It was really in need of refurbishment. We also had a bad experience with loud and disruptive noise from 1 - 5 a.m. - 2 nights in a row. (We didn't complain the first night because we thought it was a fluke) Management finally determined that it was Spoodles powerwashing its duct system. It sounded like someone banging on an empty trash can for hours on end! We asked to be moved after the second night of little sleep.

We thought the lounge was nice, though much smaller and way less offerings than GF's RPC - for the same money. The lounge staff was wonderful and the planning office exceptional. I just felt that the value was not there considering the price on the suites.
