How certain is it that DL/DCA tickets will go up in price next year? The website has them on sale for $179 (down from $199 supposedly), and says they would be good until January 2010. If they WILL probably go up, any idea how much the increases generally are? I will be taking some students to a yearbook workshop in Orange next summer, and we plan on arriving a day early to see DL. Trying to budget this far in advance is tricky; airline tickets have already gone up $100 per person to fly from Great Falls to SNA just since August!

They (5 day passes) went up by $5, I believe, in August '08. In '07 they increased in September, and I think it was Sept in '06, too.

The $179 price is the presale price. The $199 price is the price you would pay if you buy at the ticket booth.
Price increase happens in October (I beleive), so the prices you see now will be the prices you will pay for summer 2009

As far as airfare, keep checking it. It is amazing how it changes week to week. My guess is if you found a good deal in August, you will be able to find it again.

So are you saying that the increase has already happened, and there wouldn't be any benefit to buying right now for next summer?

Correct, that is what I am saying.
The only benefit comes in purchasing ahead of time, which could be 1 hr, vs purchasing at the park ticket booth.

you dont want to buy them till at least may because 1...if you do it now the tickets are good only until end of year and 2. anything between jan-april will be discounted for everyone pays at the child price..so wait till at least may and do it before Aug. to make sure you dont have to pay the next price increase
