Our membership has expired and I was wondering of the person staying at the hotel has to be an AAA member, or just the person booking? I assume to book you need to give your AAA number, correct?

The way it use to be was that they would ask you for your AAA card upon checking in as well as taking the number when booking. As far as I know it's the same policy but I would call to be sure. You may want the card anyway because you were always able to use it in the City Walk stores for a discount and I don't remember about the restaurants. :charac4: :cool1: :charac4:

I have not been asked for my AAA number when making a reservation, but I have been asked to show the AAA card upon check-in.

It's been a few years, but there used to be a 10% discount at all the park stores and food locations with the AAA card, as well as ticket discounts. it might be worth it to renew just for that.

I have never had to give my membership number when booking. They have asked to see my card at check in.

I was never asked for my AAA membership number whilst making the reservation and never asked for my AAA card when checking in.

Definitely get your AAA card. And dont forget to take it everywhere, you'd be surprised how often you use it at US, even getting a soda from a park restaurant gets a discount. I carry mine with my room key in a lanyard around my neck and show it every time I make a purchase, just in case.

stayed at hrh one month ago and booked with the AAA card.

when i checked in i was not asked about it, never showed it.....

when i first booked the room, was never asked for the number

you can use the magic orlando card (which is free) for a 10% discount at the parks and city walk

I just booked RPR for June and asked for AAA rate. I was not asked for my number but of course will bring it with me to take advantage of discounts throughout the parks. I will also buy my WDW tickets through AAA to take advantage of the preferred parking at the parks.

Just FYI , I just tried to book a club room in June (HRH) thru the 1-800-BE A STAR and was told no rooms were available at any rate (club rooms I mean). I went thru AAA site and booked them there, where they were available.

travel organizations usually get a hold on a block of rooms.
if they can't unload them, then they are released back to the hotel.

AAa, hotel kingdom, orange vacations, etc.

i found a room for my cousin at rph last year 9 days before his stay there.
it was a released room snagged.
for hhn period, the on site hotels book up early
