? about Booking a Room

I am looking for a room for my mom at the Poly for the same dates as us in the GVC when i plug in the dates on the disney website or even call they say no availability for the 4 nights but if i play around with the dates on the website there is availability if the stay is for 8 nights
So my ? is can I book the 8 nights and pay the deposit and then later down the road change my nights from 8 to 4. This would be at the rack rate not the Best Rate AP program.

Easiest way to get the answer is to call the ressie number, and don't tell them what you're planning, but just ask what would happen if you had to shorten your stay. Ask them if you need to delete the ressie and start over, or if they can just delete a few days.

When I have booked a resort and then shorten my stay they always tell me that they will have to check and see if it is still available. Seems strange to me too, I don't really understand it.

Have you tried booking through Expedia. I have heard that sometimes Expedia has a certain number of rooms blocked.

A few nights ago I was room shopping for WDW and got better deals on Travelocity than I could get on the WDW & Expedia sites.
