? about Bonus Starwood Points promo

I booked online for one night at a Sheraton Gateway hotel, as our flight leaves at a horrendous hour of the morning. I did this on May5 in the afternoon, and I now notice that a promotion began May 6 for 500 bonus points that I would have qualified for! My reservation is nonrefundable, so I can't simply cancel and rebook. Rates are also still the same; it's not like prices went up or anything.

Do you think I'm out of luck as far as trying to get those points? I need all the help I can get!
