?? about BCV rooms opening up..........

Okay I will do my best to phrase this soe someone besides myself knows what I am asking! <------ I lost my teeth

Right now, not all the rooms at BCV are completed.... And posters have mentioned that being on the waitlist, your odds are good because as they complete more units at BCV they are offered up to rent.........

Will all the units be open on July 1st? And if that is true, those on the waitlist should find out shortly after that if there WL came through?


AND/OR

Are the rooms that are release based on the % of points soldl regardless of how many units are completed........ so those with waitlists later in the year (aka Thanksgiving, Early December) will have a longer posible wait, but still a good chance of getting their WL.

AND/OR

Everything above is wrong wrong wrong !!!


Now the funny thing about this is...... I am not waitlisted and dont need this info for me.... Well I sort of do, I mean I am thinking about the subject and for some od reason I need to the answer.............................Does that mean I am a true OCD DVC owner!

but I understood all the rooms will be available on July 1st. The number available for points reservations depends on the percentage of the resort sold. All others will be available for cash reservations to the public. As more DVC points are sold, rooms not yet reserved with cash can be moved into DVC inventory.

I'm sure someone will jump in soon if this is not correct.

wdeversole is correct.

Only those rooms that are actually sold are available for stays using points. The remainder of the rooms do not yet belong to DVC. I believe they're still owned by DVD. (Disney Vacation Development, which I believe is the actual subsidary of Disney itself.). Perhaps someone else knows for sure how Disney, DVD, and DVC all relate.....)

Anyway, this is why those who are wait listed for rooms later in the year are in better shape than it sounds, because as more rooms sell, they become available for those waitlisted members.
