For those who have done this excursion, was it worth it? I read it takes 7 to 7.5 hours. What is it like? Kathy

It's a long and rough, at least in January, boat ride over to the island. Then a bus ride over to Fantaseas. Once there we were part of the group that did the encounters first so it was great but I found that the afternoon dragged too much!

If they allowed you to go back afterwards would have been nicer.

It's one of those things that once you have done it, they are all the same. It was fun but not an excursion to do again, and again.

But we are beach people, we did the dolphins in the morning and spent the afternoon at the beach. (Mead's bay is breathtaking) I can see if you were not beach people it may be boring , but for us it was paradise! I would do it again in a heartbeat!

We did it the same time as Scratch but we had the afternoon dolphin swim. Mead's Bay was beautiful and the swim with the dolphins was nice but I'm not sure it's worth the money. I don't think we would do it again. Don't get me wrong, we're glad we did it once but like Scratch said, it's not something we would do again and again.

Thank you for the replies. I did a search and read several posts. It is expensive and it does take up most of the time in port. We still have not made our final decision of yes or no. All input was helpful. Kathy
