I was just reading the reviews of this restaurant on another post and someone mentioned that they had to stick to the first floor because they had a child in a stroller. Is there no way to get a stroller to the second floor, then? Would we be able to leave our stroller outside and get a highchair for our DD? If so, what kind of highchairs do they have? Our DD will be almost 6 mo. old by the time of our trip but it is just a couple weeks away and she still doesn't sit up very well on her own. I would love to check out the second floor and have a quieter spot for lunch but sounds like we might be better off staying on the first floor so we can leave our DD in her stroller. Any advice? TIA.:)

The place to sit and eat at the Culumbia Harbour House is defiently the Second Floor. You really feel like your away from everyone.

We could'nt believe how many people were ordering food. We then went up stairs and it was like we were the only one's allowed up.

I think that there was an elevator to the second floor because I think I remember seeing a lady in a wheel chair on one occasion.

But, my minds a little fuzy. I do know that the had wooden high chairs, but not one for an infant. I don't see a reason why you could'nt leave it on the first floor.

I just had my first meal at Columbia Harbor House and went upstairs and it was heaven!!! :) I sat in a room with a vaulted ceiling that was located over the walkway between Liberty Square and Fantasyland. It was super cool and quiet. I saw at least three stairways leading up but I didn't see an elevator but that doesn't mean there isn't one hidden somewhere. While it is not a spectacular area it is a nice haven from the crowd so do make an effort to go up there if you can.

We had lunch here last year whilst on the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. At the time I thought the upstairs area was set aside for Tours because it was so quiet and restful.

It's funny how valuable a little peace and quite is to people (especially me) when you just want to eat and do no thinking at all. Not that I do alot of thinking.

If you have an infant carrier, you can flip those wooden high chairs over and put the carrier in it. It works perfectly and is definitely sturdy enough.

On two separate trips we have tried to get to the second floor and there has been a rope across the stairs preventing anyone from going up. I had read about how nice and quiet it was and was looking forward to eating there. The first floor was crowded so I don't know why the second floor was closed. Maybe I'll try it again this August. Love the clam chowder in the bread bowl.
