DD, Katie, and I were watching the sun come up over Old Orchard Beach in Maine and then taking a nice long walk on the beach. I'm going through withdrawal. Who'd have thunk I would be walking in the ocean this morning??? We had such a good time and made so many nice memories. We also found a ton of sand dollars. They had fun learning how to search for them and came back with some nice treasure!

I've been there numerous times.. I just love the ocean - walking on the beach; climbing on the rocks; watching the lobstermen pull in their traps from the cottage window of the place we used to rent every year in York Beach..

I haven't been over that way in 6 years - now you're making me want to plan a trip! LOL

Old Orchard beach is cool! We took the kids up last summer and I told them we used to go there waaaaay back when I was a kid. We used to think it was cool all the people who spoke french since a lot of them come down from Canada.

Have you ever been to Ogunquit? We had been up there a couple of summer. Right now our favorite beach is Scarborough in RI. AWESOME waves!!!

I don't think I have been to RI. I have gone to OOB about 6 times already this year. Not nearly enough. I was so glad my kids got to see what it is like in the off season! We actually have gone the same week in August so often we have made friends with 3 other couples and their kids---2 families are from Canada! It is neat to see the kids not be able to speak any English and then come back the following year (around age 12) and speak English! C.Ann I am ready to head back up there again. I think DS may have left his coat so I may have to make a roadtrip Friday...darn!
