? about 10 or 11 night cruise

I just booked my family on the sept. 10 night cruise, but I am wondering what are the dining rotations like on these long cruises. Do they have special theme parties? I cannot wait to find out more!

i just booked my family on the 11 nite cruise! i'm so excited! i can't believe it's over a year away! although i do not have an answer to your question...i had to share my excitedness!

I was booked on a cruise for december so this will be even less of a wait for me. it sure does feel like a long time though.

What they did on the 10-night Christmas cruise and the 14-night Repo cruise was to have additional theme nights. We had the same menus as the normal 7 night cruises then they had "special" menus (some of them were menus from the past revisited, some of them were brand new like the Atlantic meets Pacific). They don't repeat menus through the sailing so even if you are in, for example, Animator's Pallette 3 or 4 times, you'll have the regular menu only once and all the rest will be theme menus.

We just did the 14 night..and not one dinner was repeated. The new menus are outstanding..in fact, the food was so wonderful with the new menus I sure wish DCL would replace the old menus with the new on the 7 nights.

There are all sorts of fun things to do, special things to keep you busy all those days. They only thing I noticed on the 14 night is that the last three or four days the kids were really getting bored, not mine ours our grown, but the kids on the ship. There was a group of them..always the same ones running up and down the stairs, hallways, yelling and screaming..ugh.

thanks! what kind of theme nights did you have? also, were you told in advance or did you find out when you got on the ship? i know some nights you can dress up I am just wondering how to plan ahead.

Even on the 14 night cruise, the only full theme night (dressing up, deck party, etc.) was Pirate Night. The others were theme menus. We found those out day by day.
