?? about 1 day car rental on property...

We would like to go to Key W Kools that is located on 192 one night for dinner. It is my understanding it is about 8 miles one way, so that's about $20 in cabfare. Does anyone know what the daily car rental rate is from the agency at the Swan/Dolphin? (I think there is one there) It sounds as if it might be cheaper than paying $40 just to go out to dinner. Also, do most of you just bypass the insurance and use your own policy?

We're renting a minivan for one day in November from National. Pick up location is at the Dolphin Hotel. The estimated price, including all the surcharges and taxes, but not insurance, is $53. 52. We're DC members and the price includes a 20% DC discount. I'm sure the one day price would be lower for a smaller class car and of course, prices do vary by season. Anyway, thought that might give you some idea.

You could easily check rates for your day and car type on National's web site - no obligation to make a reservation unless you find a deal you can live with. I think your idea of a one day rental will turn out to be less expensive and more convenient than taking a cab. Our auto insurance covers rentals, so we do not take the insurance offered by the rental companies. You will need to check with your agent to be sure your policy covers rentals. Not all policies do.

Just wondered where you pick your vehicle up when you rent at the Swan. Also what is Emerald Aisle?

How did you find out rates? Everything I've checked doesn't show Dolphin or Swan as a rental place. Everythings at the airport or really off-property.

To answer your question - when you first start to fill out the rate quote for National, they ask you what city you 'll pick up the car in - fill in Orlando - then the next screen to the lower left will offer you options where in Orlando - click on the WDW Dolphin as your site , it is right under the Orlando airport location. Hope this helps.
