Does anyone know which airlines have direct flights to either Orlando International or Sanford from Allentown?

Only HOOTERS Airline had direct flights from ABE to MCO now. They just started flying out of ABE. Their prices are good too 99.00!

However...THEY DONT FLY VERY OFTEN! Check out their website.

I'm fliying TransMeridien Airlines out of Allentown to Sanford on July 21st. It is a direct flight. :sunny:

What kind of price did you get?

I booked it around mid April and paid $182 round trip, tax included. I could have saved $6 round trip by booking on-line, but, I prefer calling on the phone. There were able to give me my seat numbers at that time and I believe we receive a meal going to Sanford and a snack coming back. I know my flight has gone up to $99 each way, but, I paid $79, so I'm happy with that. I ususally fly out of the Avoca airport on USAirways, but, the flights kept increasing and it isn't a direct flight. I hope I made the right choice. :sunny:

I have heard nothing but good things about TMA, however, remember that they are a charter airline and have different rules about cancellations of flights, etc.

Navigating Sanford is a breeze and getting a car is easy too. National is building a new service center there and will be offering EA at Sanford when it's done (should be later this year).

Getting to WDW is also easy from Sanford, it's just a little longer. You have the option of SR 417 (toll road) which is less than a mile from the airport or traveling about 6 miles on Lake Mary Blvd to I4. Either SR 417 or I4 is accessable using Lake Mary Blvd.

Personally, although I'm cheap, I will usually take SR 417 as traffic delays are almost always non-existant and I4 is usually a mess.

love abe..used to fly southeast when it was there, but here is my story
flight #258 leaves at 2:50 arrive at 5:20 actually left at 10:05PM arrived 12:05AM
1)don't get to excited about a meal on the plane it was snyders snack pretzels both times and since it is the only flight time every day it will be the meal for you..
2) i'm sure this doesn't happen all the time but they weren't toooo sorry about it and it does ruin your plans.the delay back was because they didn't have enought flight attend. and 1 had to drive from detroit.
3)they gave us a $50 credit for the first flight only..nothing for the second..

TMA air was horrible, from allentown to sanford we had a 7 hour delay...yes..7 hours not only are you stuck with screaming kids and no place to sit for 7 long hours you miss an entire day at disney..have to beg the dollar rental car to stay open and then call disney so they keep your room..we also missed chef mickeys at 8 for dinner and then the fireworks at 10, and believe me their is no disney magic when you arrive at 2:44 am.and have to beg for a late check-out.of course on check out day when i arrived at sanford and again saw delay for tma i know i would never fly them again...this was just a 2 1/2 hour delay but they didn't give us any info we again had to beg..

WOW....TMA is very tempting. I just don't like that the flight there doesn't get in until after 5pm. I'm so paranoid about getting a bad room if I checked in late. Though, I would so much prefer to go from Allentown as opposed to Philadelphia.

I wish we had direct flights to Orlando from Avoca again. When Vacation Express was there, we used that airline three times! Once to Myrtle Beach and twice to Orlando. I miss those flights!

We just flew TMA from ABE to Sanford on 6/23 and returned yesterday 7/2 and had no problems either way. Both flights were on-time, baggage retrieval was quick and easy, ABE and SFB airports are hassle-free. Would definitely do it again. Paid $79 each way. Only disappointment was that I was under the impression they had food for sale on the planes but all we got was pretzels.

I've never flown out of ABE, but I love flying into SFB. It is so quick, easy and SMALL compared to MCO! :)

Leanne- so sorry this happened to you. I hope we have better luck. I don't care if we only receive pretzels, but, can we at least get a Diet Coke? We plan on getting to Allentown early and eating something by the mall, but, I will make sure my friend has some food for her 2 1/2 yr old, just in case of delays. What day of the week did you leave and come back, just curious. I'm also curious as to why you landed at 12:05 and didn't get to your hotel until 2:44 am. And why did you need a late check-out when the flight leaves Sanford at 11:15 am? Again, so sorry you had such a horrible experience. :sunny:

Yes, they serve complimentary water, soft drinks and juice after you get the pretzel bags.

and they have assured me that the delays are rare, and yes you do get a drink after the pretzels, but we landed at 12:05 it was 1:00 by the time we got off the plane, got our luggage and got our rental car, then drove to asm and yes our Toy Story room was long gone, got herbie the luv bug and we checked out the next day i asked for a late check-out so that the kids were able to get some sleep, they didn't close there eyes untill' about 3 in the morning, and we were very prepared for the wait we had movies, 2 dvd players, and lots of books, but we still drove all the way home and had to return 2 hours before the 9:15 flight and we still can't fiqure out why since they already took our luggage and gave us our boarding passes, the pilot also made a remark about "that is why you only paid $79 for the ticket",i didn't think that was nice..
