Wife and I are thinking about doing this next year! Has anyone done it? What was it like? Positives and Negatives....Etc. Etc. Etc.

We (DH, DD10, and myself) just did the Spirit of America trip this past summer. It was our first ABD and we absolutely loved it! We were there over the 4th of July. Our only complaint was that Disney didn't plan anything special for us that evening. However, when our guides heard that we were all wanting to see the fireworks, they found a location and most of our group spent a wonderful evening together.

We went to Philly a day early, and we are glad that we had that extra time on our own to look around. The only downfall to this trip was that the time in D.C. was too short. However, if you go during a less busy time than the 4th, you would probably get to see/do more during the on-your-own time.

I've been to dc many times and it's a trip that you can plan and do by yourself with ADB. You will save alot of money doing it that way. There are many trips that I would do with ABD...DC isn't one of them.

Ack. I was thinking this trip would be a cheaper way to get our feet wet on a ABD tour. We live outside Philly, so need for travel expenses but way too expensive for a family of four.

Needless to say, I've heard the reviews of these trips and they sound spectacular. Hopefully they will be around in another 12-15 years when we don't have to take the rug rats along.

How is this trip? I've visited all of the areas included in it, but never more than a day trip.
