ABD NYC available to DVC members

Saw on the ABD board that there is a DVC only trip that just became available for DVC members. Going to the DVC site here is the info

living in the NYC area I wouldn't personally do this trip but others may be interested

We are doing this trip July 3. We live on Long Island and have been to NYC many times. We think this will be lots of fun and we are always looking for new ways to use our points.

I was just going to share this also. I've never been to New York and always wished ABD would offer a trip there.. I live in the Southwest and those trips are not appealing to me, but New York is big and scary and I'm glad to see this offered. We booked the October 10 adults only trip..not because it was adults only but because that was the only time of the year that would work. Looking forward to it and hope they continue to do this in the future!

We are toying with the 6/13 trip. FWIW, here is what I've learned via phone calls:

• Booking the Manhattan Club for the arrival night (6/12) was quoted at $358 (taxes included). ABD is not offering to extend hotel stay for 6/16.
• The actual ABD itinerary is only 3 days/3 nights (6/13, 6/14 and 6/15). There are NO activities booked for the departure day (6/16). Breakfast on departure day is on your own.
• Ground transfers are offered/included from several NYC airports to the Manhattan Club.

I know that ABD trips are high, but this short trip seems quite expensive to me.

NYC is awesome -- I'm fortunate to live within an hour and go as often as I can. It's easy to get around -- all streets in Midtown are numbered, so it's hard to get lost.
