For those of you who returned from Italy, will you please give advice on whether or not to use the TSA luggage locks. If any of you did use these locks, did you find your luggage still locked upon your return to the US?
Which is best-leave everything unlocked or take a chance with the TSA locks? Thanks.

Pretty certain that I had my TSA lock on my bag when I left from Naples. I do recall that I had read online that international airports can handle the TSA locks just fine. I had no problems and my lock was still there when I got back to LAX.

We used TSA locks on our recent trip.

We were to fly from Naples to Rome, then Rome to JFK.

Our flight out of Naples got screwed up, so our baggage never got checked in Naples.... we were bussed to Rome, where the bags finally got checked.

After the mess-up, we were re-ticketed to Newark, but our bags were in fine shape when we got them, and the locks were locked.
