Didn't seem there was much enthusiam for this trip, but I went and read a trip report on the Adventures By Disney Board about it and it sounds TOTALLY AWESOME! I've been wanting to do this for awhile anyway and NOW it's a going to be a Podcast tour?!?! It's a dream come true! :cloud9:

Last week I did the Backstage Magic Tour at WDW and that was fantastic, I can't imagine multiplying it by 5 days, plus seeing DL for the 1st time (for me) AND with the Podcast and DIS'ers. I don't know if I'll be able to handle it. :faint: I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited. :dance3:

I did the ABD tour this past December, and I thought it was a lot of fun.

The only drawback I see with having it as a group: Limited space.
I'm not sure what the capacity is, but I can't imagine it being more than 40 people, max.

I was SO getting excited for awhile there when I heard the date! We have been discussing a DLR trip and this tour ourselves for the future. I checked spring break's dates for the upcoming school year and....big shock here....ours is two weeks beforehand. -cry-

Ummmmmmmmmmm, did you LISTEN to the podcast Nikki???? Yes, I'm dying to see DLR, yes, the tour sounds totally AMAZING, yes, you get to stay in the Grand Californian hotel and go to Disneyland before it opens and watch Fantasmic from a VIP viewing spot....BUT did you not hear John say that he WILL be doing the Single Ladies Dance on this trip????? (we all have it on tape) so HELLO! Is an education really all that important??? Or hey, Leave the kids at home! They can fend for themselves!!!! :rotfl:

My heart practically skipped a beat in excitement when this was announced on the cruise! I don't know if it is feasible for me to go this time, but I can't wait to hear more details!

Well this trip seems better for me being that i am under 21 and Disneyland seem so cool and the single lady's dance put it over the top :thumbsup2

I'd love to go, but don't think I can swing both of those trips... Oh well, Cruising it is.

I can't do the date of the December cruise so thankfully I don't have to decide. I was really disappointed at first, but the ABD trip makes me feel a whole lot better. I just love, love, love the behind the scenes stuff and have been dying to get to DL.

It seems I'm going too.....

I found this out at the recording session myself.

Now, I'm pretty excited too.

Woo hoo!

Is that a real Woo hoo! or an understated golf style Woo Hoo?

I've read a trip report by Disneygrl on the ABD board that got me working on my counter ....... 331 Days to Go!!!

I'm pretty sure there will be a small, but special, appearance by the West Coast Team, too! Hopefully, we will get to pop by the hotel and let you visit with us.

PS - I feel for you Nikki - being a teacher and all....

OMG..I'm so excited about this trip! When I heard it on the podcast today, I had my own WOOHOO in my kitchen. :thumbsup2

Now..to try and figure out how to swing the cruise we have booked next year AND the ABD Podcast trip. Oh..and can we bring the baby?

Holy Cow!!!! I was already planning this trip for sometime next year and to find out there's going to be one with the podcast crew and other DISers?!?!?! Where do I sign Up??? Who do I contact???

I don't know about bringing the baby, it says on the website minumum age for the tour is 5 years old. :guilty:

Well if your going... I have to go...plus I get to dance with John (do you have to single?? DH would be bummed if I file for divorce so I can dance with John!)

ABD trips usually have a set minimum age.

I have not seen a trip in which babies would be allowed to travel.

We've only done the one ABD trip to Italy, but I can tell you that I still keep in contact with some of the folks that we traveled with.

Some of the very best memories of a very memorable trip were because of the folks on our Adventure

Most folks come back from their Adventure with a whole set of new friends. You get to know your travel companions very well.

It's a different set of circunstances than a cruise. When cruising, you have a huge list of events and activities from which to chosse and you run into people occasionally.

On an ABD trip.....except for free time....you do everything together. Almost all of the activities are shared, so there are a great many common experiences which seem to bond folks together.

I'm looking forward to this.

Who's going with us?

I went on this trip last December and loved the whole experience. It was the best trip I have ever been on. So many things you would never see on your own and so many surprises.

And you do bond with your fellow travelers even though you do not think you will. I think it is the common love of everything Disney that draws everyone together. Pluse the tour guides are awesome......
