ABCs of Trip Reporting, Pt. 2-Life Can Be Crappy and Then You Move On (3/7)

I do, but they went missing in the move- they are hot pink and have a set of Minnie Jibbitz in them!! I'm sure they'll turn up as we continue to find boxes that were stashed in our attic, but so far nothing. I can't wait to find them, and hope I do before the weather gets hot.

minnie jibbitz, you need to get with the times and get some cars or toy story ones.

:rotfl:

you know those are the in ones for the popular crowd now a days.

I know, I know. I have to work on my being "hip". :lmao:

Once again,

Thank you all for such wonderful wishes on my birthday and Mother's Day!!!

I had a simply beautiful day shopping, eating out not once, but twice, coffee, some lovely gifts opened on the beach, and SUNSHINE!!!! I visited the shortest river in the world (the D River), bought a handpainted little ceramic nightlight, and watched the waves crash on the shore with 4 of my kids. Then I came home to a phone call with my 20 year old son, who told me, "I love you, Mom!" as he hung up.

EPICEST DAY EVER!!!

Hooray for Epic days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What????? We are almost birthday twins. May 7th Here!

Hope you had a great day - birthday and Mom's, that is.

Lovely pictures in your last installment. Strong work. Love the one of the castle from the tree house!

Cool beans!! Happy Birthday, MEK! What did you get to do?

THanks!! When I saw that view I was curious as to why more folks don't get up there and take advantage of some spectacular scenery!?

:confused3

Happy Mother's Day to you too Liesa! Have a wonderful, relaxing day.:goodvibes

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TOO!

How fun that you got to meet Brook and her family! And over a dinner of corn dog nugges, no less...:goodvibes We might have to try some of those on our next trip, now that I am completely over my TS snobbery. :rotfl:

Thanks Tina!

Brook and Joe are sweet people! I really enjoyed our time together! Henry is just as cute in REAL life as he is here in pictures!

Ha! I wouldn't say that they are fine dining, but a good solid FUN tradition. I love sitting on the bleachers eating in front of the cartoons there! :cloud9: Over by the water in front of the castle isn't so bad either!

Thanks guys- I before E except after C. I know that, but apparently my fingers don't and my eyes did not catch it. Now Glenn has to go back and edit his quote because my Danism is stuck in his reply. :lmao:

Sux getting old, doesn't it? (Oops! We're the same age, me thinks...)

Yeah, I like my stuff edited out of replies too. Glad I"m not the only one! :lmao:

Happy birthday and mothers day! I hope you have a wonderful double celebration day!

THanks, Tanya!! I did! And I hope you had a great Mom's Day as well! How are you feeling these days??

happy-mothers-day.jpg

You're sweet, Camille! Great to catch up today!

Happy Birthday, Liesa. And although I already said it earlier, Happy Mother's Day too!

Thanks, Kathy!! Hope your men did some fantastic things for you!

And :bday: to you as well !!

Where do you all get these fun pictures?? I need to do better at only using fonts and colors!

Hi All! I'm back and trying to catch up with all the busyness we came back to. I see I have 14 or so pages to read here, so I'd better get busy! :3dglasses Don't forget to visit my TR!

AYAYAYAYAY!! Tammie is back!! I will definitely get over to your TR as soon as I can! 14 pages of drivel shouldn't take too long! I 'll try to call to catch up too.

Happy Birthday Liesa!!!!

THANKS, Rosie!

Yeaaaaah, Tammie is back!

So glad to hear you had a great day Liesa. :lovestruc It's always good to hear your kids love you, especially on Mother's Day. :goodvibes
It truly was the epicest day ever!

No greater words!

I'm so glad your Mother's Day / Birthday was so special. We too went to the beach ( tradition). It was Meadow's first time riding the rides. She loved them. :cutie: And Jack had a blast playing football at the break of the water with DH. I'm still not sure how their feet weren't freezing tho. :confused3 Top that off with Thrasher's fries and homemade icecream...yeah good day. Oh and I can't forget about the Disney trip DH agreed too :yay:  :cool1: Yup it was the EPICEST DAY !

So, your beach has some fair type stuff at it? Nice! Ours just has a bunch of junky stores, a few nicer antique stores, and some pretty good places for seafood. The kids always love just getting their toes sandy and eating salt water taffy!

WOW!! Another trip for you! How awesome! Will you do a PTR?

Happy Belated Mother's Day and Birthday! party:

Thanks Jen!! I had a wonderful day all around!

I love the balloon photo and the one of Henry examining the nugget! Looks like a great meet and a grand start to your time in the MK!

So glad you had such a nice bday/mom's day! And Belated congrats to Andrew and you on the award! What an accomplishment!

Woo-hoo - not only did I get in on this round of the game but I scored a point!:banana::banana:

The whole evening was super fun!! I had a great time doing a lot of things- and it wasn't ALL solo!! :rolleyes1

THanks! He'll be home next Sunday late evening, and I can't wait to see his medal!!

Yep! 2 points for you!!

That's okay -- I don't know how many time I misspelled it in my PTR. That was even more embarrassing than spelling "streak" as "steak".

Liesa, Happy (belated) Birthday!!!

Yes! we are all glad you weren't streaking!

Thanks, Glenn!! What did you all do for Judy yesterday?

Happy Be-lated birthday! Glad you had a good Mothers day and Birthday:thumbsup2

Hooray for a fun dismeet with royalty. What a fun start to your MK tour for the evening:goodvibes

:sad2: I didn't get my guess for G in on time, oh well time to focus on H

Thanks, Jessica!! I loved every minute of my day!

We had such a nice time together! Brook is a great friend!

Yes, I hope to get H up either later tonight or tomorrow!

“Soldier #1 will spend a good bit more time taking in the weenie rides and attractions that no one else seems to appreciate very often. Maybe you have to get to the decrepit old age of 42 to reminisce the good old days when you were grateful to just BE at Disney with Mom and Dad? Maybe your ummm.... softening body can't do Dinosaur too many times anymore? I don't know, I just know, I'm excited to discover those hidden gems once again!”

There is a lot to be said for weenie rides. I did my share of those this trip and it was a ton of fun!

The clothes outside your door though, that's just nasty!!!

I know!! So what did your crew do for you yesterday?? Anything out-of-this-world nice??

In this world nice :) Slept in, went out for breakfast, skipped the annual drag the boys to Flower World trip (it's been too cold for me to be ready to do my planting, not to mention my May planting budget was just spent at a different kind of nursery..ie. the Flower and Garden Show lol), blew off a family birthday party (wasn't motivated to haul myself across the pond/deal with a drive around or ferry on Mothers Day after all the travel and a typcially nutso sat), sat on my deck with my kindle and an Evan-made smoothie and took a little nap, and then was treated to a lovely steak dinner courtesy of Jeff.

Lazy, a little selfish and decadent and all around perfect.

Time for Letter H!!

I had to think long and hard on this one, but in the end found one that will work quite nicely!!

What would my girls be anxiously waiting for??

DSCN2760.jpg

AND

Give me one word of something you can find nearby that would appropriate for the place.

REMEMBER: Both answers MUST start with Letter H to qualify!!!

Have fun!!

Good job soaking in the sights and taking more (and better) pictures than last time.

What kind of person litters around the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse? Or anywhere, for that matter. But with the treehouse, the whole "ride" (if you will) is just checking everything out...and no one wants to see trash!

Looks like Tate had a great time too. ;)

Now, for the letter "H". I didn't see whether you wanted PM's or super-secret invisio-text, so I'll go with the text below.

I'm really hoping that's the photo area outside of Hoop-de-Doo. Since I didn't buy the picture, I'm not completely sure though! Yikes! And something nearby would be....horseshoes!

Goodness what a fun time you are having, you truely capture every little detail, love all the pictures and the story to go with them, minus the horrible trash that was left behind :sad2: do you think it was things that fell or was it on purpose?

As for H: I'm guessing they are waiting on a horse drawn carriage and are near Hoop De Do Revue

OMG Liesa, this one is hard! I *think* it's

Hoop de Doo and nearby you could find the Hall (as in Dance Hall or Pioneer Hall.

Sux getting old, doesn't it? (Oops! We're the same age, me thinks...)

Yeah, I like my stuff edited out of replies too. Glad I"m not the only one! :lmao:

I think we are close in age but I may have a couple on you. :rolleyes1

H Hoop de Doo and Hay is for/and horses.

Happy belated birthday, Liesa!

My guess for H (though this is an honest-to-goodness guess, I really have no idea!): They are waiting for the Hoop-de-do Review. Nearby there are horses.

Don't you love the Swiss Family treehouse? It may be one of my favorite spots in the MK...

You know, it was a fine line between soaking up EVERY detail, and going with that "slow down, you don't have to" mode. I really came away with some better pictures, and am absolutely determined to get that Nikon 3000 I want. We'll see....

I saw a lot more of that this time around, and really it was such a downer. It's just not appropriate to toss your junk where others have to see it. But Jessica had a great thought- maybe it was accidentally dropped...??? :confused3

Tate was working the freedom, that's for sure!

Inviso-text works for me- but as they get a bit trickier, I'll move on to PMs... :rolleyes1

As for H: I'm guessing

I was milking every spare minute I had out of my solo time!! I LOVED IT!!

See! YOu have a very good point there! I guess it's better to give the benefit of the doubt here, but still Disney should really be better at picking that carpola UP!

OMG Liesa, this one is hard! I *think* it's

QUOTE]

Not so tough apparently... ;)

Well Liesa Letter "H" has me stumped !! I will sleep on it !!!

ok, but not too long. You missed a couple because you ummm...forgot to send your answer in. :rolleyes1

My guess:

Ok, dokey!

I think we are close in age but I may have a couple on you. :rolleyes1

H

Maybe, but not much. ;)

Happy belated birthday, Liesa!

My guess for H (though this is an honest-to-goodness guess, I really have no idea!):

Don't you love the Swiss Family treehouse? It may be one of my favorite spots in the MK...

Thanks, Norygirl!

Really?? I thought you'd have an easy time with this one!

I do love it! I enjoy the lively music- one of my favorite polkas of all time (I listened to it a LOT in my training last year, as it paces perfectly with my running!) and all the fun details. Of course, the view is unparalleled!

Ugh. I'm with Rosie. Gotta think about H a little. tomorrow I'll guess.

As far as a PTR goes, I'm thinking about it. I'm not sure I would be able to follow thru with it. I promised DH I wouldn't plan and we would just go with the flow. It might just kill me. :lmao:
