ABCs of Trip Reporting, Pt. 2-Life Can Be Crappy and Then You Move On (3/7)

I made it Ladies!! Only 9 pages in but I made it. :snail:

Cute hat Liesa! I must say much better than the crown. :lmao:

Also, is it just me or does that kid behind you
a) look way too big to be in a stroller.
b) the stroller look like something out of Tron. :rotfl:

I love your grandmother's wine stopper. So pretty. Mickey one's not bad either. Just use that one for the cheap wine lol.

Also England is one of my favorite pavilions in WS. You should have stuck around for a performance of the British Invasion. They're my favorite. When I was a kid I always loved to look in the big book to see if they have your families coat of arms.

I love the wine stopper that was originally your Grandmothers. Very pretty! Oh, and the Mickey one is nice too  I'm excited to see what else you found

Hi Jen!! You must be very busy with work these days! Keeping afloat?

Next up, Rockin' Out in Morocco!

I have yet to see the film in France but it's on the list for someday. I also missed the waiters. I sat around and waited and waited still didn't catch them.

I do like your wine stopper, but the one you received from your grandmother is just lovely.

I know you will really like the film- truly it is so peaceful! A nice retreat on a hot day or for escaping a busy park.

Some of the acts in WS are hard to catch- sometimes it's just luck you catch them at all. Even if you know the schedule and have it planned.

I just moved that stopper to a glass bottle by my stove that I normally keep a fresh sprig of rosemary in. Now I'll see it more often until I open another bottle.

Yeah, the beret trumps the crown by a long way!!

That's what I think. WAY too big for a stroller- if he truly has mobility issues maybe he needs to be in a wheelchair?? :confused3 Then again, maybe it's his little brother or sister's and he just figured he'd sit for a spell? Although that sees unlikely. Glow in the dark- cool concept!

Good idea- except that we only buy cheap wine. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I've never stuck around to see them- seems like they don't have very many shows. :confused3 And I was on a mission to catch a different group. ;)

I"m sure they had our crest in the book, and I should have looked. DANG! Hmmm....Let me see if Maycock is in there- A VERY English name indeed!

I followed the crumbs and found my way! :cool1:

The wine stopper is lovely, but what is it for? Why would you want to stop wine? :confused3 I say let if flow forth! An open bottle of wine does not last long in my home.

AHA! I found it! PLane suggested I should have looked for my Family Coat of Arms- so I went back and found one on the net. I'm thinking it's not so bad...

Apparently, coccia (sp?) meant "son of". I find it rather ironic that there are no boys left to carry on the name who have the last name. I mean my cousins have all had kids, but all out of wedlock. That's it- my sisters and I are the end of the line as far we know....

Hey Carissa!!! I"m so glad that Hansel left something for you to find!!

Now, you my dear, bring up a VERY good point!! Why would anyone NEED one of these?? When we open a bottle, it lasts between the 2 of us about 2 days. Unless my FIL comes over, then it's less. I imagine my nice one will stay on the bottle by my stove more than I think. ;)

Good to know that the Kazakhs value German quality! :thumbsup2

Tate gets involved shortly. As of now, he hasn't made his grand appearance.

Dan's always up for a challenge! I think this one would be one of the more entertaining ones. Can you imagine the size of the backpack you'd need?! :lmao:

That reminds of my trip to Namibia. My boyfriend at that time was really an Africa expert (he had a Masters degree in African history) and a train lover. He found a name plate for a disused engine of the Namibian railway in the souvenir shop of the railway museum and had his heart set on getting that as a souvenir. It weighed a ton and was huge - about the size and the weight of a manhole cover! Not a practical souvenir at all!! But he managed to get it back with him, we even went to some office to get the necessary permit to export it from Namibia. :thumbsup2

See! It CAN be done! (We got permits and managed to get 2 antique rugs out--VERY HEAVY!) And I'd bet my bottom dollar (which is exactly what Disney would charge) they they'd sell you one.

I think there is actually a store that sells of old Disney stuff. I know that some people bought furniture from hotel rooms when they were redone. And it also sold some old ride vehicles etc. I think it is called Mousesurplus or something similar. They might actually have manhole covers...

Yeah, I think I've actually heard of that! What a cool place to browse around in! I'm sure I could find all kinds of great stuff to snatch up-

If I could buy anything in Disney that's not your typical souvenir, I think I'd buy Cindy's Fountain- just think of all the Wishes I could make!:banana:

Do tell, All! What would you buy if you could buy up props, hardscaping or such????

Hi Leisa, I'm Pixie,Ty's mother. I have heard alot about you and wanted to introduce myself.

HI THERE!! And :welcome:!!

I was just reading Ty's report and realized, in a horrified sort of way, that I think I missed saying hello and making sure you knew how glad I am to have you here!!

I adore Ty! And loved our Meet in DC so very much! She is a riot, and her company is so fun!

I hope you will join our fun here as often as you can- and I'm sure I'll see you over on Ty's thread as well!

Great question!!

I know that I would NOT get the attacking killer table from the bar at AKL... :sad2:

But perhaps this sofa:

Or even better: the planets at the entrance of Mission Space:

They would make a good garden sculpture (would have to get a garden first, though...).

Holy Moly, Girl!! You went LARGE!! Here I was all satisfied with a little ol' fountain, and you take the planets!! :lmao: I love your choices!!

Well, since it would go into my imaginary garden, I had all the freedom to imagine a very large garden to go with it!! :lmao:

Indeed! This is an open-ended question that everyone should DREAM big on. As I thought about the manhold cover, I had to think about my neighbor (Mrs. Wine) who had she had a sturdy metal cover such as that one, would not have stepped into her cesspool hole the other day! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Oopsie, guess the plastic cover on it wasn't so good! :rotfl2:

I would like something from MR. Toad's Wild ride. Not sure if I would like a ride car, or the scenery at the end with the train light and then HE double hockey sticks.:lmao:

Great update and nice hat!! You don't look like a second in command snake this time!! ;)

I also have an imaginary garden and I would buy for it Daisy and Huey, Dewey, and Louie on their walking tour from AKL. Hmmm. not a good explanation, but I hope you know what I mean. Magdalene, do you have a picture uploaded?

Good choice!!

I know that I have a picture, but could not find it on photobucket yet... Will come back and add it later! :goodvibes

I think I would want Minnie's house for my DD. She needs a playhouse and Disney's not doing anything with it right now...:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

:rotfl2: The russian french man! :rotfl2: Love it!

That wine stopper is absolutely beautiful. Too bad it wasn't from disney or I would be getting my own in May.

Of course, we already know we have matching Mickey head stoppers. And I do enjoy mine as well! Not French, but a great souvie all the same!
