ABC Elements: Complete

Checking in! I've got everything cut out for my B, just need to assemble them all. I still need to make the prototype for V. I've got everything for it.

we didn't snag Donald in Paris but ever since someone said to DH"What a little duck" and he replied "I'm not a duck, my name's Andrew" (OK, he was 3, but sometimes poeple don't change that much  ) I can use Donald in MANY places :rotfl:

I'm really pleased with the black stickle stripes on my T's, still not sure about the Tigger stickers. They are slightly transparent and don't quite work in all the places I want them :headache: Would you rather have fewer Tiggers that work well, or shall I put the leftovers in the pack and let you choose whether you add them or not??

I've done two sets so two people will have all Tiggers whatever, but one of those can be me. I can post tonight if you need to see, but they don't show up well on the camera (I tried yesterday). They work well on the topper, the small tag, not too bad on the journal box but I'm not reall happy with them on the big T tag.

Checking in! I am working on these, I have the ideas just need to cut the stuff. I am not used to doing a prototype but will definatly have it done on time no problem. I am off during the week next week and will hopefully be scrapping a bunch.

Checking in. I am finishing up the Epcot swap first then will be doing this one. I am in the same boat as New England Eeyore:

Unfortunately, I'm kind of an assembly line worker and I don't typically do prototypes, so for me to get the prototypes done, it will probably mean I get the bulk of the swap done as well.

It's just easier with a Wishblade to cut everything at once. I've got all the pages and vectorization done for these, just need to sit down and pump them out. May be able to convince my husband that I need a commercial cutter after this swap!!! :lmao:

Checking in, haven't started cutting things out yet, but I have Paper and ideas. No worries.
I do have a couple questions.

OK, so here's where I'm heading. These are not stuck or anything, they will be inked and have other embellishments, but this is the plan so far (darned Xyron mat has run out of stick so I'm 7 stawberry scoops short :headache:)

Ice cream

The I will be glittery, and the ice-creams will look more 3-d than this once they've been highlighted. I will swap the tag layers over I think so it rests on lavender with mint behind. There will also be 2 squares or possibly other shapes with stickers (you can see the packet at the bottom - I've got several of these!) and some sort of dimensional element to them - possibly pop dots. The stickers will also be on the titles and journal boxes, unless I decide to do single cones on those too (how I HATE doing those cones! - but they do look quite cute

The big orange T's will be striped with black stickles - I wanted the big T from the tag for the topper but it made it too big so i had to go for the smaller T. There will be 2 tags, the second will have tigger stickers and I've got some fluffy fibre for the tags (hope there's enough!) Stickers will also be on titles, journal boxes and photo mats - in fact anywhere as I got 11 packs (all they had in stock) without realising they were 2-sheet packs :headache: Guess what the hostess is going to get

I may end up with shaped tags - depends how quickly my Xyron mats get hre and how the card holds out:bitelip: I'm aiming on getting most cut out tomorrow morning so i can ink while I'm watching TV tomorrow evening. Any thoughts?

I am not sure what Stickles are so I can't really give you my opinion. Can you explain what Stickles are?

I didn't. I've been getting a workout using that silly fiskars tool that you have to rub hard in circles. Does that make any sense. I have the plate of fish scales then I rub the little tool over it. I can post some pictures if you like. It's a pain but it looks cuite doesn't it.

Oh that sounds cool Where did you get that tool?

Mazda --

I'd rather have less that work well.

But I have a suggestion to make about your transparent stickers -- if you put the stickers on white cardstock and then cut them out it may help. (Or, whatever color cardstock seems to work the best) However, that is a significant increase in the amount of work!

Stickles is glitter glue with a very small nozzle so you can do detail work with it.

I got mine from the link below. Very fast shipping, free with $25 order.

Checking in...I just got back from Disney last night, so I'll be working on my items this weekend...no plan yet...I tend to figure it out as I go.

Quick question about the proto types. DOes it have to be the exact paper I am really going to use? I am going to the beach on the 20th and want to look at the scrapbook store down there but have some of the paper already,

I would say no. It doesn't have to be the exact paper while doing the prototype. As long as you know what you are going to need to make ALL the other ones, the prototype can have different paper. The prototype is so you can see how long it will take to make the elements & embellishments you want to so you will know when you need to get going on them to finish on time.

Great answer!

I'm getting pretty good at this co-hostessing stuff. :)

Go take a look at the complete page progress thread and tell me what you think of that prototype. Before I put them all down with adhesive.

Already did! I love it. I am so sorry I did not get involved in that swap.

Thanks, I have the paper I think I will use but you never know what I will find out of town.

Thanks for the suggestion about mounting the stickers. I don't mind extra work but fine cutting is something I can't do with CTS - scissors and knitting needles are pretty much out of the question (I can snip tape for mounting but sustained scissor manipulation is out  ) So I'll use stickers where they work and leave it where they don't. I may put the spare stickers in the bag so if you want to mount and cut them you can, or even use loose on the page.

I ended up using the stickers - once I looked at them fresh I think they're OK. Anyway T is done, and I is mostly cut out and being assembled - my mats have arrived so i can do the cones.

Here are my prototypes for Group 2 O - Oh boy!

The O is black Bazzill Bling with a red glitter hat, pop dotted up.
I made two journal boxes because I couldn't figure out a way to embellish the shapes/charms. This is the same new paper that I used on my complete page swap. I just loved all the Mickey heads.

I have alot of it cut already. I should have that part finished tonight. I still need to cut out the Gang and then I'll be current for the element swap and can start on the 8x8 page kit prototypes.

It's great! I really like that paper too.

I still have Z prototype to do. Everything is cut and xyroned for Q and O and ready for assembly.

Oh Boy looks great!!! I love the sparkly Mickey hat!!!

I started working on V today, but I'm not happy with what I've done. I need to play with it some more. I have everything cut out for B, just need to assemble.
