ABC Commissary - what should we do?

Our whole family are huge Grey's Anatomy and Lost fans and I understand that there are a lot of reference memorabilia for these shows at the ABC Commissary at Disney Hollywood Studios.

But I have read some awful reviews of the food there! So what do you think?
Should we eat there (or just go check out the exhibits), or neither?

we ate breakfast there once, it was good, nothing spectacular though. It was confusing when ordering though. No one was there to help us and i could see the food sitting there so i went to get it and then someone came over and said that they do that.

It was decent for a quick service place. I would not go there again but that's b/c i would prefer that pasty place. mmm.... starring rolls cafe

You could always just go in to check out the decor.

I've gotta agree for the most part

ABC has an average quick service menu. While some people seem to hate it, I don't have anything bad to say. I've grabbed lunch there several times, and the food was fine.

As for the LOST and GREY's stuff ... it's more like Planet Hollywood, with a few props displayed, and a ton of commercials looped on the TVs. Some of the props are cool, but there's no admission fee to check them out. Trust me, you could easily walk in and have your fill of the displays in under 15 minutes.

Nay. I'd rather do something else. I'd even eat a meal out of a cart than to go there. It's usually crowded, not too clean and seating is sometimes at a premium; especially when others not eating are taking up seats or are saving seats for others still in line while people with food trays in their hands have to wander around looking for a table. Was that a statement or a rant or both?!:confused3 :snooty:

I've only eaten there once, and found it to serve average CS food. It didn't seem any worse than most of the other cs places, and at least it had more choice than burgers and pizzas.

I think that the CS choices at HS are real limited but the fish and chips and the Cuban sandwich were actually pretty good.

I ate there once and liked it. We got a lot of food. However, my mother didn't care for it.

We ate there is Sept '06 and didn't have any problems with it. Hubby and I thought the Cuban sandwiches were very good and a nice change of pace. :)

Got counter service there a couple years ago for lunch. It was good. I think I just got a burger, fries, and a fruit parfait. As a previous poster mentioned it does have AC and plenty of seating. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there, but let's face it a burger and fries is a burger and fries. Disney uses the same company to stock these places. If you were going to switch it for TS then do that but otherwise I wouldn't bother.

The Cuban sandwich is good, and it's a comfortable place to eat.

Nothing special about it. Food tastes good... service is not so great.

We have been there and it was fine, nothing outstanding, but nothing bad to say either....

Give it a try!

I ate there once last year. We had hamburgers and french fries. It was okay for something quick. Would not eat there again, though.:(

I voted for Eat at the ABC Commissary because it's one of my families favorite counter service locations, so we have always had a good experience there.

We ate there last year and I admit I wasn't that impressed, although my son loved his Cuban sandwich. My judgement may have been clouded by the fact that we had to wait in line for 30 minutes.

We've eaten there before and I have never had a problem with it. It is the basic Disney counter service food.

We have been twice...Once for lunch and once for dinner...We will not be back again...The food was terrible both times...The kids (2 and 3 at the time) would not even eat the french fries and chicken....DH and I always give a place a second try when we do not like it the first time around...A place can always have a bad day or you can try a different meal...But both times we eat just enough to fill up and threw the rest away.
