ABC Affiliate Discounts

Does anyone know if ABC Affilites get any kind of discounts. I have asked around at my station, but the only answer I have gotten is about free 1 day park tickets... but when I contacted Disney, they said you have to be in the News or Editing dept to get those... I am not. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

You need to call down to your HR department. They will tell you which if any Disney benefits you get.

I did and they know nothing. Someone told me I need to call Disney with our "affiliate number" or something like that. We have recently been bought out and the people in the know, are no longer here.

I worked for an affiliate about 10 years ago. I was in the Sales Dept and I was able to get a discount. The HR person gave me a discount card (I think with a code) which indicated I worked for an affiliate. If I remember correctly I was able to get the discount on the rooms and the park tickets. Your HR person is definitely the person with whom you need to speak. If she says she doesn't know, tell her to call someone at ABC in NY.

They may do it differently now...I wish you luck.
