I was wondering if anyone had ever rented the toys package from A Baby's Best Friend? We will be traveling with our 2 year old, and have found that having toys in the hotel room really helps. Can anyone give me an idea of what kind of toys are included? The website says developmental toys, but I am not exactly sure what that means. Thank you!

Why not just pack a few of your child's toys from home? If space is an issue, ship them ahead of time. It might be cheaper than renting them. We always bought DS toys to play with from the parks. There wasn't a lot of down time in the room, but when there was, he would just play with those.

Can you give me some information about this ABBF? How much does it cost? Who provides this service? Where do you rent them from? We're going to be in FL for 2 weeks, more than half of that time at FW cabins, and it would be nice to have a change of toys for our DD.

summerrluvv, Thank you so much for the quick response and the website!

I'm impressed that they even have developmentally appropriate toys!

The toys are different for each age group so I can not speak to what they will have for a two year because my son was one at the time we rented. It was great to do - we were renting the full sized crib also at the time. At one, many of his toys were just too big to pack, so this was a wonderful service for us to use. Now at 2, I will be packing our own toys - enough Thomas track to make a small circle and a selection of his trains, a few duplo blocks and a base and his Duplo/lego cars, books, and all of his small little figures that he likes to play make believe with like his small Bob figure, his small cars, crayons and playdough, and some small buildings to put his figures in and out of. This is all he will need at two which is much easier to pack then his toys were at one.

The toys that came for my son were perfect - they were large plastic cars that he could easily push around the floor and could also easily be disinfected. He also had some pop up toys and some other stuff that I just can't remember off the top of my head, but I do remember that he played with everything that came and there were quite a few toys in the package. You tell her a little about your child and she will tailor the toys to that age and gender.

The owner of ABBF will be happy to answer your questions - she is very nice.

Hope this helps. :wave2:
