AA's DFW Feb. 18 flights cancelled due to weather!

Just thought I'd give a "heads-up" to anyone flying into or out of DFW on Saturday, Feb. 18. They're expecting some ice, so flights have been cancelled. Just be sure to call ahead and confirm. Alternate flight choices were very limited.

Once a area is affected by weather it causes problems along the system so if anyone is flying AA I suggest checking before heading to the airport.

I am sure there will be other airlines with problems due to the weather.

It's unfortunate that they were so proactive. There hasn't been a drop of rain, ice, nor anything all day and all last night. It is pretty cold, though, so it's probably still coming. But, then again, when have the weather "guessers" ever been right?

Okay, can we get them to do the same next Friday, the 24th. We are scheduled to come home from MCO via DFW on AA and if they aren't going to allow flights to go in and out of DFW, I would be heart broken to have to stay in FL for another night!

In southwest Fort Worth it took me about 15 min to scrape the windshield, but that's the only glass that had ice. There was more precip coming down tonight when I went to dinner.

We're flying IN on the 23rd AA via DFW!!!!

We're in Shreveport, Louisiana and last night's Mardi Gras parade attendance was affected by the freezing cold 29deg. temp!! No percipitation here, either though! (2 1/2 hours east of Dallas)

Should I be worried about our flights???
