Aarrrghhh! Everything I Cook Is A Disappointment!

:grouphug:

Sounds to me like you may need to look at other recipe books. The ones I find to be the best are some community cookbooks. I have tons of them if you would like for me to send you one or two to use for a while. I would give them to you but since I collect cookbooks I don't know if I could part with them. These are filled with recipes that have been tried and tested in homes and made hundreds of times for families and still got the green light.

Or if you would like and want to tell me the kind of stuff you are interested in I can look up some recipes in the books for you and send you some recipes. REALLY, if you are interested I do NOT mind at all - the distraction right now would be great for me anyway. Let me know.

Hey chell, thank you for the offer. Please don't part with your cookbooks!!!

What I'm looking for are recipes that are tasty, that can be made within about 45 minutes (weeknight stuff). One thing I do NOT like is anything with Cream of Mushroom, Chicken, Celery Soup. I cannot stand that stuff. I guess I'm looking for something a "notch" above that kind of "dump" cooking if that makes sense? Let me know if you think you have anything interesting and I can give you my e-mail--unless others are interested.

Oh I almost forgot, I did something similar to this. I was boiling pasta but evidently didn't add enough water. Put it this way, I didn't need to drain the noodles. When I went to check on it, there was no water left in the pot and the noodles were stuck to the bottom of the pan. I just threw the whole darn pot out. Now that's pretty bad!

I threw out a aluminum pan of cheesy hashbrowns that I forgot about. It burned and baked so hard into the pan, I got a bag and threw it in the garbage. I did feel guilty, but I thought why spend all that time and energy try to scrape and clean a stupid $4.00 aluminum pan-I still looked over my should to see if anyone was watching.
