AARGH!!! - I am never going to get all this laundry done!!

That stinks! Hope you get a new washer soon! I will say that so maybe your unsensible side will come back and want a new one! ;) No seriously, I know how frustrating it can be to have load on loads upon loads of laundry to do and no way to do it. Been there done that!
I was just looking at those front loading washer/dryers this past weekend..they look really cool. I am thinking that is what I am going to get when my washer dies....which will hopefully not be for awhile! Our dryer is 10 years old, but we had to get a new washer probably 3-4 years ago!

Good luck with the washer!!!

Wow! Just started looking online just out of curiousity. Them babies are expensive!!! Don't think I'll be talking DH into one of them, because then I'd have to have the dryer to match - and well, that just isn't going to happen. Pretty much the same washer I've got now (so it will match my dryer  ) is about $1000 cheaper. Oh well, I got to dream for a while!

We just got a front loading washing machine last week.I love it!I didn't get the matching dryer yet but hope to be able to soon.

Well, it's fixed, and I'm down to just one more load of laundry!! :teeth:

Oh yeh - guess that means no new washer though  Guess that's the down-side to having a Mr. FixIt for a DH. ;)

My suitcase is so depressing that I won't even OPEN it. (ha) I'm going to send the whole thing to the dry cleaner. Everything - Kit, Kat and Kaboodle.

P.S. that's pretty common in NYC where most of us don't have washers/dryers - to send everything out. Before you think I'm nuts!

hehehe Mine got fixed today too! Yay I can do Laundry too! On a side note, once the dryer was working, I swear I heard the belts whining on the washer... who would have thunk it... Stupid machines, Drama queens the lot of them.

Happy New Year! :rotfl:

I once had a washer for 18 years due to having a Mr. Fixit for a DH.

I have done 2 solid days of laundry, I have been neglecting it a bit  . I have about one more day of laundry to go and it will be "done" as much as laundry can be done I guess.

no matter how often you do laundry it never seems to be enough..........there's always more to do............it's nice when I can get DH to pitch in & help....makes it less work on my part.

Sounds like it might be time to go shopping for a new washer! So for now, I would load up all the laundry and head to a laundry mat, wash everything, and bring it home and put in the dryer!

Our 15 year old washer finally gave out last week. We finally got our new one on Tuesday, and still haven't finished all the laundry. Both DH and I work, so we're trying to get at least a load or more done each night. I hope we catch up soon!!!!
We found the best deal on a washer at BestBuy of all places. :earseek:

seems like with three kids in the house that there must be plenty of help with the laundry...but it also seems like with three kids in the house there is never time to actually DO laundry.

...well I would think that 3 kids would just get in the way, anyhow! Even one would be too many. Better off doing it with a seasoned adult....or alone if need be :rotfl: Sometimes too much help with the laundry just causes problems

You know its funny, when i had a washer and dryer in my house, I was always behind on laundry. Seemed like I never made it to the basement to do it until it was an all day affair, then of course- nothing got put away, heck- lucky if it got folded.

Now, we have washer/dryers here in our apartment complex, but they're just normal size...and 2 of each, so it takes me about 4 hours to do a weeks worth of laundry. Instead, I load it all up head to the laundry mat and in 1.5 hours I'm done, folded etc.. and it actually gets put away! Amazing that by going to the laundry mat, I actually stay on top of laundry.

only downfall is days like today, we all needed to wash our columbia's, and I ended up going to the laundry mat just to do 3 coats and 3 pair of ski/board pants!

WELLLLL -- belts are fixed, agitator's spinning --- but walked into the laundry room last night to move clothes into the dryer, and the floor is flooded!!! And I don't mean, just leaking out like before - I mean about 1/2 inch of water in the room!! Let's see if Mr. Fix-It can fix this!

I have a confession to make : I love doing laundry

I have 3 boys so I have lots of it. I actually get excited when they get their clothes dirty. I love the challenge of stain-removal.

Yes, I know I need help

Well I get to wash a bunch of wet stuff from the basement because I came home last night to a broken hot water tank that spilled all over the basement floor!! I feel your pain!.When something major breaks you need it fixed NOW, life is way to hectic to wait for this stuff and I need a shower!!
