Aarg! Changing Dates, how?

Our friends will be traveling with us and I booked this morning for our VGC stay... the day we were supposed to arrive, both husbands have a mandatory three day out of town meeting (same company, got the list of 2011 OOT meetings today).

Now we need to change the arrive date to after they get back + a couple, but the booking doesn't open for that date until Saturday. Can I just leave the reservation alone and call on Saturday to change the dates? Do I need to call, cancel, then call back? I've never encountered this, so I just don't know. How does a situation like this work?

Just call Saturday and they will make the changes all at once.

They shouldn't even have to cancel the entire reservation. They will just remove the days you don't need from the front end and book the additional dates on the back end.

Thank you. That is way easier than I anticipated! Pshew! Now lets hope they don't change the dates on us again.
