I am 59 days away from our 2006 family WDW trip. And I am pretty sure I broke my foot. Will it heal in time?

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. If you can't walk in 2 months time, you can rent an ECV scooter to get around on.

Ouch! I hope that you heal soon. Get an x-ray and see what the doctor says about a recovery period and how long it should be. If you have to, you can rent an EVC and still go.

Bummer! You should plan on renting an EVC if it's broken, even if the doctor says the healing time will be up before you go. I've read the average person walks anywhere from 7-12 miles per day when visiting the parks, and that's hard enough on healthy feet! GOOD LUCK!!

You should be pretty much healed by then- when I broke my foot, they gave me a walking cast, basically this weird looking boot thing with velcro straps- it really made it easy to walk on it. My biggest concern there would be it getting hot- take plenty of breaks in the hotel so you can air it out! and bring febreeze!

Bouncing over to Happy Dance (since this isn't a TPA&S thread). Hope you're doing the Happy Dance in 59 days! (I'm sitting here with my foot up after a break two weeks ago. I feel your pain)

Get thee straight away to an orthopaedic specialist! (Sorry, still in my Pirates mode, I guess!

My experience is similar to singingpixie's.....they put me in one of those boot things. It is hot and heavy, but you can walk great in them! And it helped with the pain. I would say that you may even be out of it by the time your trip starts (depending on the break, of course).

But be sure to tell them you are going to WDW...they may want to leave you in it until the trip is over just to make sure you do not reinjure it.

You can get around great with it...but it is rather large and bulky...and it will slow you down.

But enjoy the trip anyway! At least you are getting to go!

Yeah! Our's is 53 more days. We're staying at the POR from sept.5 - 14th
Look for our lime-green mickey heads(stolen from home depot)all over our belongings!! I SOOOO want to hook up with another family and have lunch or whatever. Glad your foot'll be ok! The scooter things are cool to get prople out of the way (just kidding flamers!) and get cool seats everywhere!
