AACK! Rodent alert for the squeamish...

Yeah, laugh now... You should have seen my kids' faces when they saw a flying chipmunk past the window.... and than had to convenice them it was not Chip or Dale being hurt by our cat!!!!
Needless to say, Streaks will not be going on any family vacations to see Chip or Dale.. I'd be afraid he'd pounch and send them flying through the air!

I had a chipmunk in my house one time!!!! That little brat was everywhere! I thought it was a rat at first, until I got a closer look at it! I was remortgaging at the time and the guy from the mortgage company got rid of it for me! He chased it out of the house with a broom!!!! It was embarrasing and funny all at the same time, because I didn't want to tell him about it, but then he starting hearing it from the closet!!! So I had to tell him!!!!

I grew up on a farm in the middle of fields so I remember mice in the house. I used to think they were cute when I was little and couldn't figure out why Grandma screamed everytime she saw one. It didn't take long to understand. Cats helped.

I had cats for a number of years, but as far as rodent control, my best defense is my 3 year old beagle, Molly. Her count so far this winter is 6 mice and one rat killed in my house. She's such a sweetie but one heck of a mouser. I can handle the mice - but the rat really freaked me out!

We still have a rat under the deck. Not sure if it's just 1 or a family, I only ever see 1 so it looks like 1 to me. DH got a trap on Friday, so I guess we'll see what happens. I would get freaked if I saw one in the house too! They are gross. Like you said, I can handle mice, but the rat thing just is too much. With 2 dogs, poison is out, so we can only trap. DH checked yesterday, nothing yet...just gives me the creeps...yuck

Hey, forget to tell you all. My three cats (well not sure if all three or just one) they got one of the rats in the barn. I'm sure there are more in there, but they got one!!

1 down 50 billion to go!! Another one died in the basement this week and I can't find it or the other one!
