I was all set to book a week at WDW for June and now I hear the subs may be back in time for my vacation. I'm also hearing rumors that WDW's Haunted Mansion will be down for rehab during my trip. I'm seriously thinking about booking DL instead. :sad2:

Just needed to vent...

Well subs say June 11th for now, but you never know!! Okay, I am thinking of two numbers between 1 and 20. One represents DL, one represents WDW. Post back and pick a number and I'll tell you where you are going!!! Doesn't that make it easier for you???

Okay seriously I did think of two numbers if you want to play along, lol!

I can see by your trips listed that you really are torn! That is one reason I am scared to even go to WDW for the first time this year. DL is in my bones and it's never been a question for me. I hate to do this to myself, since it will eventually put me in your position. Such a cruel world ;-)

The weather is definitely more comfortable (less hot/humid) at DL that time of year.

I think it depends on what type of experience you are looking for on this trip. You've done both parks enough to know the differences in the type of vacation you get at both. I'm personally a bigger WDW fan because I like the whole resort experience that I get there, but I like DL as well.

Heh heh...The dreaded 'June Gloom'. (I haven't seen 'Sunny California' on our last two trips due to June gloom.

The experiences are where I'm torn...I was looking forward to several new items at WDW, trying the dining plan and eating at places we hadn't been to before. BUT...I'm still commando enough that the rides are still The Thing and that is where DL is calling me. :thumbsup2

Looking at your location, I have absolutely no CLUE where you live!!!! :rotfl2:

Here you go: Book a flight from whereever you are, Waldo, to the park furthest away. Then book a 3 day STOPOVER at the park nearer to you on your way home!!! Both parks, one trip, one heck of a cc bill!!! :thumbsup2

Andrea---Step into the light, honey!!!!! Come over to the dark side known as the East Coast!!! :grouphug:

Do both!:thumbsup2

Really, I don't know what to tell you. I love them both so much!

PattiPB - He's in Columbus, Ohio I believe so a little closer to WDW but still kinda at that in between where I can see how he has a hard time deciding. I know , I know I need to just do it. A crazy little part of me is rethinking taking this trip in May!! Without airfare and tickets (we have DL AP's) do you know how long I could stay at DL for the amount we are paying to go to WDW! It's insane...

But I digress, buckminion, you still have picked a number....don't you want to know where you are going???

I have been to both, and even though there are more things at Disneyworld (more resort hotels, EPCOT, MGM, etc.), Disneyland (the park itself) seems to be getting more attention and upgrades than the one in Orlando. Disneyland was also the first and Walt himself had his hands in its creation 100%, so that one will always get the sentimental vote in my book as well.

Give the lady a ceegar. :dance3:

WDW is closer, but I was Born in East L.A. :lmao: so DL is old home week for me.

3?

Well my dear, you are going to.......................

Disneyland!!!

Disneyland was 4, my favorite number!! and WDW was 18. So there you go, decision made!!!

I think we should apply this line of decision-making to our whole lives! Just think how much easier everything would be!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

BTW---with the ridiculous flight paths I've seen lately, it's possible to get a flight from Ohio to Florida WITH a California stopover!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I agree, I think I'll let various disboard members make all my inportant decisions from now on. Easy sailing from here on out!!!

That's crazy, who on earth would ever take a flight like that. Although, OT, when I was 10, my Dad lived in Michigan and we lived in Arizona. I flew back from visiting my Dad in the summer and between Detroit and Las Vegas, I stopped 7 times. Yes you read that right, 7 times and I was flying all alone. I was sick by the end from going up / down so many times, each little leg was only 45 minutes or so!!! Crazy!

We did WDW June 2006. It wasn't that bad, We went for 15 days and it only rained 1 time. It wasn't bad at all. (Buy a water sprayer!) Honesly though it doesn't matter when you go, I've learned to except this myself as well, something will always not be open yet, down for refurb, or broke. That's the name of the game. We went to WDW in 2002 and heard all about Expedition Everest. The entire trip Splash Mt. was down for refurb, and Tower to terror was broke one day, and the list goes on. This last trip Pirates was closed the entire trip. So I did one better since Pirates is my all time favorite, we got back and planned a trip for a few days in October to Disneyland and I rode my pirates!!!!

Can I add my two cents, I just got back from DL and I LOVED LOVED LOVED it, I like the fact it is smaller, not humid, even eating was not bad, not like DW but I didn't starve, I am planning on going back next year
