Yep this time last year got a phone call from our travel agent saying our flight home has been cancelled , and Lo and behold got the same phone call again . So our 15 day holiday is now going to be a 16 day holiday..
So i have a few questions , our last night will now be the 1st of November but we only have 14 day park tickets , so is there always a MNSSHP on the 1st of November or was last year unusal.
If there is we can buy tickets for this and go to the magic kingdom on our first day if not we will have to stay out of the parks on the day after we arrive.

not sure till nov hours are out but if magic kingdom closes at 7pm then the party will be one

Historically there has been a November 1st MNSSHP and it looks like there is one set for this year as well. I think they do it as the 31st is always a sell-out and it gives one more night for guests to purchase a ticket and attend a party.

How strange reading your post. Was it a year ago? I remember the last one. At least you know about your flights being cancelled beforehand, as opposed to it being overbooked or encountering some other problem there at the time of departure or worse still, spending that extra day at the airport! Let me know what dates you pick for your next trip so I can choose the same ones :lmao:

Finding out at the time of departure is awesome :D and I'm not joking. Our flight was over booked coming home from Orlando in October last year and we got a 2 day delay. We got complementary flights for the first day that we have used for our 2012 trip. We volunteered to stay day 2 and we got 50,000 airmails each which will pay for our flights in 2013. I know we'll still have to pay the tax but it will make that holiday a lot cheeper

As you've already booked and organised everything did you not get any sort of compensation for this issue?

It happened to us over last Christmas & New Yr, our return flight was full so they put us on a day later - it was a little bit inconvenient for the other couple in our party so we complained & they ended up paying the extra day hotel, an extra day car hire & also gave us $100 each spending money for our last day! We were happy with that! :)
