We all know how I feel about the white stuff, it is to start tonight and not end until sunday! Mike has a haircut appt. at 10:30 sat. morning and we should have 4-6 inches by then...yuck yuck, at least the salon is only a few miles away. I can not wait to get to florida! It is freezing here right now.. wind chill of 17 degrees and going down fast! :(

Well, at least you don't have to wait too long to leave the snow and cold behind.

It will fly past before you know and you will be enjoying the sunshine and warmth.

Just keep telling yourself only.......more days, only......more days!!

Enjoy yourself on your vacation.

Not next friday morning when we fly out. (another GREAT reason to travel a day early in the winter incase there is a storm) Mike is all excited as this will be the first BIG snowfall, we have had a light coating falling almost every night but this is a "storm". My concern is the hair appt. If the hairdresser can't make it in, I have to juggle something to get him cut before 8am Friday. (hmmm I do have dog clippers ;) )

We have snow here today too! At least, so far, the temps have been above freezing, so it is just making the roads wet (although it is suppose to get colder tonight).

We are leaving in an hour for a Jump5 concert that is 90 minutes away! I hope they keep the roads salted all evening. We probably won't get home until after midnight. This is a Christmas gift for our 10 year old twin daughters (DH is taking ear plugs with him  ).

Wish I was on the Disney Cruise today!!!!

Well, he could get an interesting new "do" with the dog clippers, I suppose.

We cruised in Jan of 2002, on the Wonder. We flew out on the Thursday morning from Detroit. Well there was an ice storm that morning. We sat and sat and sat on the plane at the de-icing station. The pilot would say, we are going to de-ice and go and then he would say....no the runways are closed. So there we sat on the plane. I was getting pretty antsy I tell you. We ended up leaving about 2 hours late, once the weather warmed up a bit to change the freezing rain to just rain.

The ship actually left Port Canaveral an hour late that day because they were waiting for people who had just come in on a flight out of Detroit.

So, never again will I fly out on the day of the cruise in the winter. It just is not worth the worry.

Uggggggggggggg... the local news said to expect 20 inches.... I will post a photo when it is all done sunday.. I am hoping the forcast is wrong. DS already told me no way can I cut his hair,, (we had a mishalp once when I just wanted to trim his side burn area, used jay's mustache trimmer..didn't know there was a guard.. poor kid had a bald spot)

HAS anyone warned the new snowplow man?????????

We got about 5 inches total between last night and this afternoon, but it won't last. In your case, I'd start making nice with the snowplow guy....

well, we won't have to worry about ANY snow plow men starting in January.. The State of Massachusetts wants to put tracking devices in all the private snow plow trucks and all the guys/gals are against it.. So we probably won't have anyone plowing our roads this winter... that plow man out in Western Massachusetts is safe from Ann for now!

Sorry to hear about all the snow, make sure you post a picture Ann for us to see down here in Florida. And to think that we were all complaining that a cold front was going to move in this weekend and we'd only have a high of 65!!! Boy, do we get spoiled. My mom is coming for a visit on Monday from Long Island, so the snow better get over so she can make it!:bounce:

Sorry about all the snow Ann...it is nice and warm here on the Magic! Maybe we will get stuck in Orlando for an extra day....that would be horrible!:teeth: :sunny:

favorite Auntie~
yeah you may be stuck down there... right now, Channel 4 is predicting 16-20" south and west of Boston... which is exactly where I am! UGH..

it already started snowing, supposed to continue into Saturday, getting heavy Saturday afternoon and not stopping until sometime Sunday morning/afternoon...

We've already cancelled both of our men's & women's basketball games, (Holyoke Community College was supposed to come here) and I've made arrangements for my work study students to open the Fitness Center for just in case any of the other crazy students decide they have to work out in a snow storm!!

so any way, not to scare you, but it's supposed to be bad... hopefully, it will go south and we'll only get 4"!! that would be nice!
Enjoy your warmth while you can!!

Hey Ann, thank goodness you're not sailing tomorrow!! One of my students is going to FL this week so he flew out a day early to avoid all this. Well, I must admit, I love this weather. This early in the season, it just puts me in the holiday mood. Hopefully, I'll keep this going until the spring thaw. ......have a great trip next week!

Or am I just halucinating as I am having snow fits.. really the purple is very nice :)
well the snow has started.. I just hope we can get to mike's hair appt. in the morning, Jay got gas for the snowblower and I have enough food ... just need the boy's hair cut :)
if the storm does what it is threatening to do I will post pictures on our webshots for you snow "virgiins" poor chelsea (or little westie) she is less than a foot high, and we have to actually plow her "poop paths" so she has somewhere to go.
we had a nice fire going in the fireplace tonight and are all in our comfy robes, so off to sleep and hope we don't have too much digging to do!

We were to start our trip today. Had dinner reservations at Chef Mickey's and planned to see Illuminations tonight, but here we are at home. :( We spent all afteroon and evening in Laguardia airport delay, delay, delay, delay, CANCEL.

They shut down the airport so fast I couldn't believe it. We finally rented a car and crawled home (people cannot drive in the snow)

We are rebooked onto a Sunday morning flight. I hope we make it. At least we didn't miss our cruise which is on 12/11 - We will make it down by then I'm sure.

Yes I noticed the new colours too and I think they are an interesting choice. I kind of think it looks nice and bright and new, like when you first paint a room.

Really if your son has to go on the cruise without a haircut it won't be the end of the world. You might think that he looks shaggy but probably no one else will even notice.

Well the snow in the Indianapolis area was not bad at all like they expected. We had no problems getting to the Jump5 concerrt.

The only BIG problem was that my twin DDs wanted their autographs and they announced that Jump5 could only sign autographs for 20 minutes because Disney had a private plane waiting for them that would be taking off at 11:00 with our without them (they are going to be in the Disney Christmas parade today). SO being 'a mom in panic' I convinced my DDs to miss the last part of the concert and got in line for the autographs. ALL WAS SAVED. The girls were able to be one of the first 50 in line, and did get their autographs!

We saw their limo outside and I told DH we should ask for a ride to WDW! :sunny: .

But even though we didn't get all the snow we were suppose to get, it is still cold here. I want to move to Florida!!!

well it looks like we will make it to the haircut, we only have about two-three inches so far and it is 8:30, they say the heavy snow won't happen until afternoon/evening and sun. am. They are predicting up to 24 inches now. The plows have not even started running yet - which is a good thing though so I can get out of my driveway without haveing to clear the entire streets snow from the end of it.

Hi Lisa see ya at dinner in a week :)

24 inches!!!!!

Wow, I'm glad I live in the frozen north of Canada. We hardly ever get any snow at all, and if we do it is usually not very much and it melts within a few days. ::yes::
