Aaaah! So annoyed!!

I never realized that I could call to see if a PIN/code was attached to my name until I found this forum. I called this morning and was told that my husband had a PIN for a room discount, but that it had EXPIRED on 3/31! It would have worked for our travel dates, too.

What I don't understand is - we never received any notification that we were being offered a discount - no email, no postcard, nothing. If they were going to offer it, why didn't they contact us?

Oh well, we will still be traveling in Dec. 09. Keeping my fingers crossed for FD or 4/3 again.

Mommy2LittleVols--I'm frustrated for you! You don't get notified. That's bad enough. What possible reason does Disney have for telling you now that you had a discount, but it's expired??? This PIN stuff is annoying, isn't it?

They may have contacted you via email and it was spammed out or was accidentally deleted. Email is great, but not so much when emails are lost in cyber space all too often.

Wow. I had the exact same thing happen to me. Except I was told that both my wife and I had individual 40% off pins that expired on 03/31! The emails I've received always said they were for Value Resorts but apparently they are for most resorts, you just have to call to check availability. The cast member who I spoke with told me that Disney just pushes the Value Resorts more than the others for whatever reason. She also told me that our names had a ton of expired pins that were never used. Oh well, I'm still hoping for an AP discount.
