I am getting so mad!!!!

Back in November my DH's car had a problem with the head gaskets. Thankfully the car was still covered under the extended warranty that we purchased. The dealer called the warranty company and got an authorization to complete the work and then we had to turn around and file with the warranty company to be reimbursed.

I filed the claim in November and I just recently got my check which turned out to be about $40.00 less than it was supposed to be. I guess they figured that no one would notice but unfortunately for me I checked the invoice.

So I call them and try to get them to explain to me why they are not paying the entire bill only to get one ridiculous excuse after another and getting passed from one person to another. I am currently waiting on a call back from a claims manager that will probaby never call back before I had to leave.

The claim the dealer overcharged for the parts. Well that is their problem. They authorized the dealer to fix the car at this amount and darn it they are going to reimburse me the full amount. When I asked why they would authorize an amount higher than the average retail price (the number in their computer program that tells them how much the parts cost) they actually told me that since this was back in November that they didn't have the computer program back then and didn't know how much the parts cost. So apparently back before November they just took the dealer's word for it on how much parts cost. Yeah, right!

Also since this is so far back they just don't have much information and why did I wait so long? Well ding-dongs we didn't get the check until recently!!! That is your problem as well!

Bottom line is that we purchased a warranty to cover these charges less the $50 deductible and that is what they are required to do! The guy them actually had the nerve to tell me that it was just a small amount and it was not like it was $300. So I asked him if that meant I should be happy that I was only shorted $40 rather than $300!!!!!

Can you see the steam coming out of my ears??????!!!!!!
