AAAAACK! I need to go Shopping!!!

Man alive! I have not finished shopping for the holidays yet and I am not talking just gifts. I don't know, some wrapping paper and food would be nice. I need a few last minute gifts too, but DH is working crazy long hours and I don't want to take the kids with me. All week I have been thinking that I would go each evening and then he doesn't get home until after 8:00. Where we live it is going to take awhile to get to the stores I need to go to and leaving that late is not going to cut it. My sitter is having finals so she is not avail either.

AAAAACK! Here I was going along all relaxed and now that it is crunch time everything that was supposed to be just a little here and there is piling up on me. Oh, and he has to work this weekend too.

If it makes you feel better I haven't even started. Dh kept disagreeing with my ideas so I told him he is in charge this year. It will be anyone's guess if anyone gets anything at all. I got tired of the whining from DH .

Golfgal--you are a brave woman!! I have tried for several years to get DH to do the shopping for the males on his side of the family. Two BIL and his dad. I am willing to do his sisters, mom and all 6 of the other grandkids. Plus I do all of our shopping for our kids and usually some of my own--hey, that way I know I will get a gift!! Suffice it to say that since I didnt' want to look like a creep with no gift for the guys, I ended up doing the shopping. This year I didn't even pretend I was going to have him handle it. And really with his schedule this year, it was not going to happen.

I do have a sitter who is coming on Monday morning. I have physical therapy and then I am hitting the stores. She had finals up through today (she does PSEO) so her mom wouldn't let her babysit until she was done. The trouble I am having is that there are things I need by Sunday morning and tomorrow is his family Christmas celebration and tomorrow night is DDs concert.

I know it will all work out and if any details are missing, I am the only one who will notice.

Maybe I will scrap my original plan and get the Sunday school teachers all Caribou gift cards. (Actually, I had already scrapped the original plan which was baked goods that have not happened and was on plan B!! )

Ha, just like me! I can not tell you all of the buying and returning and rebuying etc, I have done this season!!!!!!!!!!!

I am totally not ready either. I've only gotten a couple of items for my kids and I haven't even begun to look for my mother, brother or sis-in-laws gifts yet! And I have to drive 2 hours tomorrow each way to pick my mom up to come and stay with us for Christmas. Maybe I'll do a little shopping (at least for her) on my way there!

Welcome to my world! Between work and school I have not had the time for Christmas this year. I came home from work at 9pm to find my tree up...finally! It is a fake tree and my kids put it up. It is not perfect, they are bare spots with the lights..but you know what, I don't care, I'm leaving it!

I finally wnet and bought some groceries today and bought some stuff for baking, I'll probably do a few cookies, not as many as normal. I still have to finish shopping, and nothing is wrapped. BUT I did get my package mailed out to my sister! I also have to send out my cards, but first I have to write them! (I did buy them, that's a start.)
